it was dark. the sounds were echoey and long. hyunjin sat in his cell with a tired face. it has been a week since the accident.

he swore on his life that he didn't do it. yes, he didn't have the "ideal" relationship with minju, but he would never think of killing her.

they did take in consideration that another suspect may have committed this crime, as opposed to the fact that hyunjin was a witness.

but there was no evidence.

"what is this bullshit..." hyunjin mumbled as he slammed his fist against the wall. the guard whistled as he paced near his cell.

"hey buddy, i know it's rough but don't go around damaging the cell alright." he tapped the metal bars, catching hyunjin's attention.

hyunjin stared at the guard and turned away. "my bad, i won't do that again." the guard chuckled and turned to walk away.

"you're a good kid. just wait for justice to save you. take my word." he disappeared around the corner, leaving hyunjin alone in the cell.

he took a deep breath of air as he leaned back onto the wall. "wait for justice to save me, huh?" he mumbled under his breath.

he waited for a long time.
