Chapter 62.

Camille's evil voice made me want to throw up in a bush somewhere but I knew that I couldn't leave Magnus's side anytime soon. Seeing Camille is still painful for him, especially since she cheated on him and caused him so much pain that he do not deserve.
- What do you want? I asked sternly
- Calm down, Lightwood. I just want Magnus to know that he did so good at the field today, Camille answered and I could see the smirk on her lips
- He doesn't need to hear that from people like you, I said and felt angry
- You're more than just a pretty boy, aren't you? Camille said and sighed
- Leave us the fuck alone, I growled
Instead of answering, Camille let out a loud laugh like what I just said was the most hilarious in the world. All I truly wanted was to punch her in her stupid face and make her pay for all the pain she has caused Magnus, but
I know that violence never is a good way to solve any kind of difficulties.
- Do you honestly think that Magnus actually loves you? Camille said and looked at me with a disgusting smirk
- That's enough, Magnus said with a stern voice and I knew he was angry
All the pain in his eyes was replaced with madness and both of his hands were formed into fists. I knew that I said that I wouldn't punch her, but I am not that sure that Magnus thinks exactly the same as I do at the time.
- Finally, you're talking. I have really missed that wonderful voice of yours Camille said with a teasing voice and the stupid smirk didn't leave her lips
- I have nothing to stay to you and if you ever talk to Alec again, I'll make you pay for it all, Magnus answered
Before Camille even got the smallest chance to answer, Magnus grabbed my hand and started walking away from the black haired little monster.
- Are you okay? I asked concerned as we finally left the school's property
- Yeah, I'm fine, Magnus said tiredly
- Do you want to go to my house and watch a movie or something? I said
- I should probably go home, but I'll see you tomorrow? Magnus said and looked at me with a pair of sad eyes
- Home? Your apartment? I asked
- I need to make sure that my stupid stepfather is still alive, Magnus said
- Do you want me to come with you?
I asked and took his hand in my own
- No, it's fine. I'll call you later
Magnus placed a kiss against my lips and then he walked way. I knew that seeing Camille was harder from him than he would like to admit, but he's an ass for not talking to me about it.
I sighed out loud and started to walk all the way home. As I arrived at my house, I walked straight up the stairs and continued into my room where I laid down on my bed. This day had a great beginning, but the end was just completely chaos and I wish it didn't happen. If Camille hadn't showed up at school, Magnus would he laying in my bed beside me and I wouldn't be so worried that his stepfather will be an idiot and beat him again for some reason that doesn't even exist.
~ The next morning ~
I woke up around 10am the next day by the sun that was shining through in my curtain that I had forgotten all about before I fell asleep yesterday. I decided to take a shower since I fell asleep in yesterday's clothes so I left my bedroom and walked over to our bathroom were I got undressed and turned on the hot water. When I felt satisfied with my washed body, I left the shower and wrapped a big white towel around my naked torso. I later left the room and walked back to my bedroom. I pulled out a new pair of clothes from my closet and as I once again was dressed, I sat down on my bed and took my phone that still was laying on my bed where I dropped it.
To my surprise, I had a missed call from Magnus and I couldn't help but think that something had happened to him during the night. I decided to call him back to make sure that he's doing okay, but he did not pick up.
