Mary's point of view
I was sitting in my room reading a book, today has been four years since I left for the convent. Since I left Francis. Suddenly Sister Margret burst in. "Sister Margret, what's wrong?" I asked "There had been an another attempt on your life." She said "Who was it?" I asked "The English most likely, whoever it was will be properly punished, but you have to leave." She said "Where am I going?" I asked "Back to French Court. You have to leave now, it's not safe here anymore." She said "I'm leaving right now?!" I asked as she pushed me out the door. "Yes, your ladies are out front right now." She said "Um my ladies?" I asked "Yes, Kenna, Greer, and Lola." She said "What about Aylee?" I asked "She won't be coming." She said "Well why not?" I asked "Dear Mary, please stop asking so many questions and put these clothes on." She handed me a dress, shoes, a cloak, and a crown. "Um okay." I said then went back in my room and changed then went back outside, there were two guards. "Who are you two?" I asked "Your grace." They both bowed "Were your body guards." One of them said "No need for formalities, call me Mary. What are your names?" I asked "John." One of them said "Jack." The other one said. "Well John and Jack it is very nice to meet you." I said "Mary the pleasure is all ours." John said "Well I think we're supposed to go to the front lawn or else Sister Margret will have a fit." I smiled, they laughed then we walked to the front lawn. "Mary!" Greer and Kenna said running to me. "Greer! Kenna!" I hugged them. "We missed you so much!" Greer said "I missed you all too, wait where's Lola?" I asked "She's waiting in the carriage." Greer said "Yes because she just couldn't be bothered to come see you." Kenna rolled her eyes. "I see she hasn't changed." I said. "Nope, still the same self-absorbed bitch." Kenna said "Kenna!" Greer said "Greer tell me I'm wrong." Kenna said "I see you two haven't changed either." I laughed "Nope." Kenna laughed "Let's go, you look amazing so we better get you to Francis fast." Greer said "Greer!" I laughed as they pushed me into the carriage. "Hello Lola." I said "Mary." She said rudely, I widened my eyes at Greer and Kenna, I sat down and Greer sat next to me. "So are you looking forward to seeing Francis?" Kenna said "Yes, very." I said "I heard he had taken multiple mistresses." Lola said, Greer gave her a dirty look. "Well I have heard that he isn't very social and refuses to engage in affairs, because he's waiting for you." Kenna said, I smiled at her. "I'm sure he will love you." Greer said. "I hope so." I said then looked out the window.
Francis's point of view
Today marks four years since I lost Mary. My Mary. I miss her so much. I have written to her almost everyday but I have never gotten a reply, my father says that a sign that our relationship will be purely political and it's time for me to lay with a woman but I don't want to, at least not with anyone but Mary. Suddenly my pager knocked on my door. "Come in." I said "Your grace, your father has requested you come to the courtyard." He said "Tell him I will be spending today alone my the lake." I said "Your grace, he said if you said that to tell you that it's your royal duty to greet this guest and also that you don't have a choice." He said "Tell him I will be there soon, your dismissed." I said, he bowed then walked out. I put on a jacket over my riding shirt and leather pants then went to the courtyard. "Father you know I always spend this day alone." I said "Francis I think you will be very pleased with this guest." He said "Well who is it?" I asked "I highly doubt I will be excited." I added "Well see about that." He said "Who is it?" I repeated. "I trust once I tell you your will You your attitude will fade?" He laughed "just tell me who it is." I said "Take a guess." He said "Father." I said "Fine no games today huh? It's Mary, her life was threatened at convent and your two are of age to be wed." He said "You serious? This isn't some cruel joke?" I asked "Why would I joke about this? Of course it's true." He said "So shes really coming back?" I smiled "Yes Francis." He smiled "I guess you told him." Bash smiled "Did everyone know but me?" I laughed "Pretty much." My mother said "Well why did no one tell me? You all know how much I missed her." I asked "Because it wasn't a sure thing until day and we didn't want to get your hopes up." She said "Oh." I said "Francis look." Bash said, I turned around and saw Mary getting out of her carriage, she looks so beautiful. "Francis don't just let her stand there!" Claude said, I gave her a dirty look then started walking towards Mary, her ladies were giggling at her because when I looked at her she blushed and looked at her feet. "Mary!" I smiled then picked her up and spun her around. "Oh hello." She giggled, her ladies were laughing "Leave, now." Mary said clearly trying not to laugh. "I'm sorry if that was embarrassing." I said "No it wasn't, it was sweet." She smiled "Well I missed you very much my love." I said touch her cheek. "I missed you too." She smiled holding my hand to her face, I leaned in and kissed her. Why not? It seemed perfect. She kissed me back. "Francis Valois!" My mother shouted, Mary started giggling. "I suppose we will just have to continue later." She smiled "I suppose so." I smiled then we held hands and went over to my mother. Mary said hello to everyone then my mother lectured me on protecting her reputation. "Mary would you like to go for a walk?" I asked "Yes please." She smiled "Don't go to far! You have to be back in hour so you can get ready for the ball!" My mother said, I half heartedly nodded then held Mary's hand. "I'm so glad your back." I kissed her cheek. "I'm glad to be with you again." She smiled.
