Mary's point of view
I'm pregnant. It's been a week and I haven't gotten my period and I got the test yesterday. I'm three weeks pregnant. It's still early so I need to be carful still. Francis was still sleeping but I know James is up. I got out of bed and put my robe on, I went over to Francis and kissed his forehead and then went to James's room. James was playing on his toy horse.
"Good morning buddy." I smiled "Mommy!" He smiled "Maybe I can take you to go ride on one of the ponies." I smiled "No, big horsies." He smiled "Little horsies for now." I smiled "Awe." He pouted "James do you want to know a very special secret?" I smiled "Yes." He smiled. "You can't tell daddy." I smiled "I won't." He smiled "Well before you were born you spent a little while in mommy's tummy, and now your little brother or sister is spending some time in there too." I smiled "Well take him out." He said "It's not that easy James, he or she" I made to emphasize 'she' "need to stay in there for about nine months then he or she will come out and you can meet them." I giggled "Mommy if you just tell it to come out right now it will, Your it's mommy so it will listen to you." He said "I will try that later sweetheart but I don't think that will work very well." I smiled "You don't know tell you try mommy." He smiled "Okay how about we go see the horsies now." I smiled "Okay Mommy!" He smiled, I put him in a white shirt with a blue jacket and black pants with dark blue shoes. "James do you want to go wake daddy up?" I smiled "Yes." He giggled then ran in to our room. I changed into a simple light purple dress and fixed my hair then put my crown on and went back into our room, Francis was wrestling with James. "Francis get ready we're going to ride ponies." I smiled "Mommy won't let me go on the big horsies." James said "Why not? I'll ride with him so it will be fine." Francis smiled "Yay!" James smiled "Francis if you let James drop on his head I'm going to drop you on your head." I giggled "Deal." He smiled, he got ready then we went to the stables. James was sitting on Francis's shoulders. "All right James which horse would you like to ride?" I smiled "The black one." He smiled barley holding in his excitement. Francis handed me James then jumped on the horse, I lifted James up and Francis positioned James in front of him. Francis rode out of the barn and started riding around in the fence. I smiled and watched them. "Mommy look at me." James giggled "I see my love." I smiled, I felt someone touch my shoulder. I turned around and it was my mother. "Hi mother." I smiled "Hi Mary." She smiled "I'm sorry James hasn't warmed up to you yet, he will this is just his first time out of his comfort space." I said "It's okay, James is an amazing child." She said "He really is." I smiled "Is Francis really a good father?" She asked "Yes." I smiled "Mary it's just us, you can tell me. I get wanting to keep a family appearance." She said "I know I can tell you mother but truly, I love Francis and he loves me. We got lucky, our marriage is happy." I smiled "I'm so happy for you." She smiled "I want to tell you something." I said "You can tell me." She said "I'm three weeks pregnant." I smiled "Another grandchild?" She smiled "Shh, Francis doesn't know yet." I said "Why not?" She asked "I don't know, when I told him about James it was a Christmas present with a pink and blue blankets with matching bows. So it was special and I don't want it to be, I don't know, less special." I said "Just tell him, he most clearly loves James and he's a great father. He will love hear the news." She said "Thank you mom." I smiled. James and Francis came over. "Mommy I rode the horsie!" He smiled running to me. "I know my love I saw you." I smiled picking him up. "Hi grandma." He smiled "Hi James." She smiled "Mommy can I play with grandma today?" He asked "Yes you can." I smiled then set him down. "Okay grandma lets go feed the ducks." He smiled then held her hand and pulled her towards the pond. I held both of Francis's hands and looked up at him. "Hello." He smiled "Hi." I smiled "I love you." He smiled "And I you." I smiled then kissed him. "Come on, I want to take you somewhere." I smiled "Okay." He smiled, I led him in to the woods to my old tree house from when I was little. "Are you bring me here to kill me?" He laughed "No, I thought we could have a little fun. There are blankets and pillows left up there." I giggled "Those are over a decade old Mary." He laughed "Suck it up." I laughed then went up the ladder he followed after me and we laid down next each other. He was stroking my cheek. "I'm pregnant." I said gently. "What? I think I just heard you say your pregnant." He smiled "You did." I smiled, he kissed me. "I love you. I love you. I love you." He smiled through kisses. "I love you too." I giggled "how far along?" He smiled "Only three weeks so it's still early." I smiled "I just love you and our family so much." He smiled, I smiled then kissed him.
