The Nap

One year later
Francis's point of view
I have a huge surprise for Mary. I'm taking her to Scotland. I went to our room and she wasn't there so I peeked into James's room. "Ready James? One! Two! Three!" Mary smiled the three feathers in the air. "Again mommy again!" James giggled "James my love it's time for you to take a nap." She smiled "No nap mommy." James pouted "James you can sleep in mommy's bed tonight if you go to sleep now." She said "No!" He said, he started crying "James remember how we said to use words and not cry." She said, he started crying even more. "James your a big boy and big boys don't cry." She said "Yes they do." He said, she picked him up and he continued crying. "I want daddy." He said "Daddy is doing work right now my love, but he will be back super soon." She said "I want him now." He started screaming. I walked in. "James look who it is." She smiled pointing at me. "Daddy!" He smiled, I took him from Mary. "Hey buddy why are we crying?" I asked wiping his tears "Mommy says I need to take a nap." He said "Well would you rather go to sleep when it's still light out or take a nap now and stay up late?" I asked "Stay up late." He said "Okay now get in bed." I put him in his crib. "I'm not even sleepy." He said "I know but it would make your mommy very smiley if you just try to go to sleep." I said "Can we play when I wake up?" He asked "Yes we can." I said "James sweetheart you just need to take a little nap then I will wake you up." She said "Okay mommy." He said then stood up and kissed her cheek. "Oh your so sweet." Mary smiled, he immediately started to fall asleep. We quickly walked out and quietly shut the door. "Oh my god I love you." She giggled "Has he been grumpy all day?" I asked "Mhm." She said. "I have a very special surprise." I smiled "Do you now?" She giggled "Come with me." I smiled then held both her hands, I led her out to the balcony which had a view of the entire landscape. "What are we doing down here? It's freezing." She smiled "Mary Valois, if you could have one wish what would it be?" I smiled "I don't know, um to grow our family I guess." She giggled "I'm taking you and our son somewhere." I smiled "Would you like to tell me where?" She giggled "Guess." I smiled holding both her hands. "I don't know you'll just have to tell me." She smiled "Scotland." I smiled "Your serious?" She asked "Yes I'm serious baby." I smiled "I love you." She jumped into my arms. "I love you more." I smiled spinning her around. "When are we going?" She smiled "Next week." I smiled "I'm so excited." She kissed me. "I knew you would love to return to your country." I smiled "Our country." She smiled "I love you." I smiled "I love you so much let me show you." She smiled pulling me into our bedroom. "We have a limited about of time because James will wake up soon." I smiled "Mhm well we will just have to make it really quick." She smiled, I started untying all her annoying garments. I have to get through at least three layers before I can place my lips on her skin. "Remember we have dinner at 7:00." She said as I laid her down on the bed. "I'll make it a quick one." I smiled "Don't make me moan to loud." She giggled "No promises." I laughed then kissed down her stomach.
