Francis's point of view
I was dead asleep when Madelyn and James came in and started jumping on our bed. "Mommy and daddy it's Christmas!" They yelled "Your mother is very tired, please quiet down." I said, of course my wife who can sleep through anything was still sleeping with her head on my shoulder. "Go down to the tree, we will be there in five minutes." I smiled "Okay daddy we will just wait here." Madelyn smiled "all right." I laughed "Mommy wake up!" James shook her. "Mhm good morning." She smiled, my beautiful wife. "Mommy it's Christmas." They pulled her out of bed. "Well we have to go see what Santa brought you." She smiled, they both held one hand and pulled her out of room. "Daddy come on." James shouted. I put my slippers on and grabbed Mary's and also our robes then went down to the ball room. The tree was decorated absolutely beautifully. "Daddy come on I want presents!" James giggled "Yeah Daddy we want presents." Mary smiled, I smiled then sat down next to Mary. Madelyn sat in my lap. "Okay Mads Let James open a present then you can." I said "Okay Daddy." She said, James opened his first present. It was another toy horse because he loves those. "Yay" he smiled "My turn!" Madelyn jumped off my lap and ripped open her gift. "A dolly!" She giggled "Mommy will show you how to do her hair really pretty." Mary smiled "Today?" She giggled "Yes!" Mary smiled, Madelyn hugged her.
Later that evening
I was listening to a group of nobles tell me about how amazing and beautiful their daughters are. They want their daughters to be my mistresses. Like I would ever do that. If I waited four years for Mary to come back so I could be with her what makes them think I would want to be with someone else when I had her back. All I could focus on was my wife and my amazing children. they were trying to make a snow man but it kept falling down. The sun was starting to dry which means it's probably around nine. Time for James and Madelyn to go to bed. They have had a long day with Christmas and the feast. "Excuse me." I said, they all nodded their heads. I walked over to my family. "Hello." I smiled "Mommy it's to cold and I'm tired." Madelyn said "Yeah Mommy." James said "Okay well we can go up to bed." She smiled "daddy can you carry me up?" Madelyn pouted. "Of course my love." I picked her up. She laid her head on my shoulder and I went up to her room and Mary went to James's. I put her in her night gown and put her in bed. I pulled the covers over her. "Daddy can you sing me a song?" She smiled "You know I'm not good at singing." I smiled "I know but it's silly when you sing." She giggled "Oh Madelyn oh Madelyn my little angel, you need to go night night." I smiled tickling her. "Okay." She giggled "Goodnight." I kissed her forehead. "Goodnight Daddy." She said quietly before laying her head on pillow, turning on her side then closing her eyes. It amazes me how much she looks like Mary. I walked out James's room and peaked threw the door and Mary was just finishing reading him a story. "Good night." She kissed his cheek. Then put the book on his night stand then walked out. "Oh my god you scared me." She giggled "I'm sorry." I smiled "Your never going to be forgiven." She giggled in a deep voice. "Your cute." I smiled "I know I am." She smiled "Come on, I want to show you something." I smiled leading her down the hall. "Sweetheart our room is the other way." She smiled "I know." I smiled "Where are we going?" She smiled "Outside." I smiled wrapping her cloak around her. "Francis it's dark, it's freezing, and it's snowing." She smiled "I know but we won't be cold for long." I smiled lighting a candle. "Francis where are we going?" She smiled as we went outside. "We're going to your Christmas present." I smiled "And what's that?" She smiled "It's a secret." I smiled then led her out to the forest, through a path and into a building. "What is this?" She asked "It's a building I had built for you." I smiled, she looked confused then went inside. I followed in after her. "Francis." She smiled covering her hand with her mouth. "I know your favorite thing is to look at the stars so I had an observatory built for you." I smiled "Francis I love you so much." She smiled "I love you very much too." I smiled then kissed her. "You put a bed in here and everything, sly bastard." She smiled "What Can I Say, I know what my woman likes." I smiled "Your woman?" She giggled "My woman." I smiled then kissed her. I started unbuttoning her dress and she started untying my jacket. "Before I forget, Merry Christmas baby." I smiled "Merry Christmas dear." She smiled then kissed me.
