The Letters

Mary's point of view
Francis and I were on a walk by the lake holding hands. "Mary, why didn't you respond to any of my letters?" He asked "What letters?" I asked "I sent letters almost everyday, none of them got to you?" He asked "No sorry, I would have written back." I said, he smiled then we continued walking, everyone was staring at us. "Come on, I know somewhere we can be alone." He said "Led the way." I smiled then he led me towards the forest by the lake. "It's beautiful." I said "Not as beautiful as you." He said then kissed me, I pulled away and giggled. "Come sit." I said then he sat next to me on a little blanket. "It felt like an eternity waiting for you." He said then kissed me in little pecks. "So no one was waiting with you?" I asked "No, of course not. Why would you think that?" He said pulling away from our kisses. "I don't know, it's just normal for guys your age to have mistresses or even just someone the genuinely love." I said "I know it's not normal for guys my age and of my status to be virgins or not be in a relationship of any sort but I'm am. Because for the past four years I have waited for you, the love of my life, to come back to me. I also know I don't need some noble girl or prostitute to fulfill my desires because the only woman I want to be with in that way, in any way, is you." He said slowly getting on top of me. "You really waited?" I smiled "Yes I did." He smiled then kissed me. "I trust you haven't fulfilled any of your desires at convent?" He laughed "No I didn't, like you I am a virgin and the only person I want to be with is you." I smiled. "Good." He smiled then kissed me again. and again. and again, then he moved from my lips down my neck. "Francis." I said "Mhm?" He asked "I think we should stop now, as much as I'm enjoying this, your mother will come looking for us and she will have our heads if she finds us like this." I said "That's my mother." He smiled then got off of me and laid next to me. "I wish we could just lay here for eternity." I said touching his hand. "Me too." He said holding it back. "I think we could take a little nap." I smiled "So do I." He smiled then pulled me close in to him. "Well hello." I giggled "Hello." He smiled then kissed me. "Go to sleep." I said "How am I supposed to sleep with such a beautiful woman lying next to me?" He smiled "Like this." I said then took two fingers and closed he eyes. "Oh now I get it." He smiled then held me and we both drifted to sleep. I woke up to screaming. "Francis! Mary! I know you two are here somewhere!" Cathrine shouted. "Francis wake up!" I said "Mhm what?" He asked "Your mother's looking for us." I said "Oh God, quick get up." He said helping me up. "Okay let's just walk back to castle like we lost track of time." I said "We did lose track of time." He said "Your Mother doesn't need to know that." I smiled "So sneaky Mary." He laughed as we walked back to the castle. "I have been looking for you two everywhere!" She said "Sorry, we lost track of time." I said "What were you doing? Mary why is your hair such a mess?! You too francis!" She said "Um we were playing chess and Mary lost and she was being a sore loser and we started wrestling." He said, wrestling? Seriously Francis? "Wrestling?! Well who won?" She asked "I did." We said at the same time. "I don't want to know what you were actually doing, just go get ready for the ball." She said "Okay." He said then we walked past her. "Is that the best excuse you could think of?" I laughed "Well what would you have done?" He laughed "Not that." I laughed "Well she didn't question us." He said "but she knew we were lying." I said "She'll get over it." He laughed, so did I. "Can you take me to my rooms? I have no idea where they are." I asked "It would be my pleasure." He said holding his hand out, I smiled then grabbed it and he started running. "Francis what are you doing?" I giggled, he pulled me into him and kissed me. "Just go with it." He laughed "All right." I giggled then we continued running to my room, we ran past Lola's room and she came out screaming. "What the hell do you think your doing?!" She yelled "Sorry we were just having a little fun, we didn't mean to disturb you." He said "Dauphin!" She said then ran over and bowed at his feet. "This is truly unnecessary uh Lola, Lola right?" Francis said stepping away from her. "I just want to inform you that I'm here at your beck and call at any moment." She said "Oh well uh thank you I guess." He said "I think we should get going!" I said then we both turned around and continued walking. "Thank you?" I asked "Well what was I supposed to say?" He asked "I don't know but you weren't supposed to encourage her!" I said then started walking faster. "Mary," Francis gently grabbed me. "don't be jealous, Lola is like many other girls just trying to get in the good graces of the king. I want you and only you." He said holding my face in one hand. "I'm sorry." I said "Don't be, it's all right." He said , I smiled then kissed his cheek. "Here are your chambers." He said "Thank you for walking me." I said "Of course!" He said, he was about to kiss me when Kenna pulled me in my room. "What are you doing?!" I asked "Um getting you ready." She said "Hold on." I said then ran back outside, Francis was walking down the hall. "Francis!" I said then kissed him. "I will see you at the ball okay?" I smiled "I can't wait to dance with you." He said then kissed me again and walked down the hall. I walked back into my rooms. "How's Francis?" Greer asked "He's just so perfect." I said lying back on my bed. "I think someone's in love!" Kenna laughed. "Oh hush Kenna, tell me about him Mary." Greer said, I preceded to tell her all about our afternoon together and how amazing it was and how head over heals I am for him. Because I really am.
