The Masquerade Ball

Francis's point of view
"Bash?" I asked as we picked our outfits for the ball "What?" He said "Do you know why none of my letters got to Mary?" I asked "Francis she's here now, just leave it alone." He said "No Bash, I want to know why." I said "You can't tell anyone." He said "Is it really that secretive?" I asked "Do you not even remotely remember when you were like 12 threatening to run away and go find Mary?" He asked "What? No." I said "Well you did." He said "Okay wouldn't it make more sense for mom and dad to give my letters to Mary because then I wouldn't have wanted to run away." I said "Francis that's where your wrong, as you good older and your love for her grew so if she would have written back you would have been even more angry." He said "Okay that makes sense I guess but it was still pretty dickish of them." I said "Yeah I know." He said "Should I wear this?" I laughed holding up a bird mask. "Definitely, that will totally turn Mary on." He laughed "Ill wear this." I said holding up a simple white mask with gold detail. "Wow, how original of you." He laughed "What? Just cause I'm not dressing up like an animal?" I laughed "The whole point is to conceal your identity." He laughed "Well to bad, I'll set a fashion trend." I laughed "Because everyone cares what you wear." He laughed "Oh yes they do." I laughed then walked back my chambers. I out on a white and gold long jacket and white pants to match my mask. I went to Mary's room and knocked on the door. "I don't want you to see my dress or my mask, I want you to find me in the crowd." She said "Mary of course I will know which woman is, your impossible not to notice." I said "Leave." She smiled "Make me." I laughed "Bight me." She jokingly rolled her eyes. "Yes please." I smirked. "Get out." She laughed then closed the door. God that woman makes me crazy. I went to the ball room and took some wine. "Wheres Mary?" My mother asked "She doesn't want me to see her in her costume, she wants me to find her." I said "Well that's sweet." She smiled "Yeah I guess." I gave her a dirty look. "What's wrong with you?" She asked "Nothing, I just found out why none of my letters got to Mary." I said "What? Who told you?" She asked "That's besides the point." I set my wine glass down then walked away away. "Please tell me you did not just talk to your mother about the letters." Bash said "I just yelled at my mother about the letters." I said "Shit, you are going to get me in so much trouble." He said "It's fine." I laughed, I looked up and saw Mary coming in, she was wearing a white and gold dress which was huge at the bottom and a gold and white mask like mine. She's gorgeous. "I'm I gotta, I'm gonna go. Over there." I said then walked over to her. "Ms.Stuart." I smiled "What makes you think I am the iconicly beautiful Mary Stuart?" She giggled "I could stop the iconicly beautiful Mary Stuart from a mile away." I smiled "Do you like my costume?" She smiled "Yes I do, it was clearly inspired by mine." I laughed "Inspired? Get over yourself." She giggled "Well you look very beautiful." I smiled then kissed her, I held her waist and pulled her into me and tried to deepen the kiss. She pulled away. "We're in the middle of court." She said, I nodded my head and we walked over to our table. "Is Lola here?" I asked "I don't really care to be honest, Greer Kenna and I got ready together but per usual she didn't join us." She said "Well she should clearly sense she's not wanted." I said "Yes she should, but she doesn't see that." She said then the servants set our food down. "Thank you." We both said "Can I have your steak? I don't like pork." She said "Yeah sure." I said then we switched plates. "I kind of feel bad, this is good steak." She smiled "Well Let me have a kiss and I can taste it." I smiled "Uh huh sure, have a bite." She said then put it on her fork and handed it to me. "Oh my God, I regret giving that to you." I laughed "Well like you said you can taste it later." She giggled "By then you will probably taste like sweets." I laughed "That's true." She giggled then I saw Lola come in on Tomas's arm. "Mary." I said "Mhm?" She asked, I gestured towards the stairs. "He can feel free to take her back to Portugal." She said then Lola came over to our table. "Mary, do you see who I'm here with?" She asked "Yes, Tomas, Portugal's favorite bastard." Mary said. "You can go be with your illegitimate boyfriend now Lola." I said then she walked away. "Come dance." I pulled her up. "Hey I'm not done eating." She laughed "Now you are." I smiled "Oh how you boil my blood." She giggled as she put my hands on my shoulder, I put my hands on her waist. "You look gorgeous." I said "Thank you." She smiled then kissed me. "Mary Stuart! We are in the middle of court!" I laughed "I can't stand you Francis Valois." She laughed then laid her head on my chest. I kissed the stop of her head as we swayed back and fourth. Suddenly a little girl grabbed on Mary's leg. "Well hello." She smiled "I cant find my mommy." She cried. "It's all right, we will go find her." Mary picked her up. "I'm Mary, what's your name?" Mary asked  "Brynn." She said "Well it's very nice to meet you Brynn can you tell me what your mommy looks like?" She asked "She has brown hair and red lips." She said "Well thank you Brynn that is very helpful." Mary smiled "Francis do you know who's child this is?" She asked "No sorry." I said "What's your name?" Brynn asked "My name is Francis." I said "Like the prince?" She asked "Yes like the prince." I smiled then she gestured for me to hold her, I took her from Mary. "Can we play a game?" She smiled "What would you like to play?" I smiled "Hide and go seek." She said "Should Mary count first?" I smiled "Yes, go!" She said then I ran out of the ball room with her in my arms. "Where should we hide?" I smiled "Behind the plant! Quick!" She said, I smiled then ran over to the plant. "Come out, come out where ever you are." Mary giggled. Brynn started giggling. "Shh!" I put my finger over my mouth. "Got you!" Mary jumped out. "Run!" Brynn giggled then held on to my finger and we ran down the hall. "I can't run anymore!" Brynn panted. "I got you." I smiled then picked her up. Mary came back behind and tagged me. "Okay I win." Mary smiled "What? We hid in such a good place." I laughed, suddenly a woman walked over to us. "Your majesties." She bowed "Please no need for formalities." Mary smiled. "Mommy this is Mary and that's Francis." She poked my cheek, I smiled at her. "Brynn you should address them as your grace." She said "It's all right." I said "Well Brynn you had my very worried." She smiled "Well we have just been playing hide and go seek!" Brynn giggled "That sounds fun, but we need to be getting to bed." She said "I'm not tired!" She yawned "Hey, maybe if you go to bed we can play hide and go seek tomorrow." I said "Okay!" She said, then I handed her to her mom. "Goodnight francis and Mary." She blew us a kiss. "Goodnight." Mary smiled then the little girl and her mother walked down the hall. "She's adorable." I smiled "I know right, I can't wait to have kids." She said "I can't wait to have kids with you." I smiled then kissed her. "Let's go, to bed." She smiled then led me towards the east wing. "No no no Ms.Stuart, were not sleeping in either on our chambers tonight." I said "Were are we going?" She smiled "It's a surprise." I smiled then picked her up and walked to the room. I opened the door to revel a bed with fur blankets and a canopy with rose petals on the floor and candles all over the room, the ceiling was all glass so we could see the stars. "Francis this is to much." She said "No it's not nearly enough." I smiled then kissed her, as we walked to the bed we removed each other's clothes. "Your so beautiful." I kissed down her stomach. "Oh Francis." She moaned, then I picked her up and laid her on the bed. "At any point just tell and I will stop." I said "I don't want you to stop, ever." She said then kissed me.
Several hours later
Mary was laying with her head under my chin as I stroked her hair. "I love you." She said. "I love you too." I said then kissed her. "Watch." I pointed at the sky. "What? Why? She smiled "Just look." I said, after a few minutes the fireworks went off. "There beautiful." She smiled "Your beautiful." I kissed her forehead. "You didn't have to do all this." She said "Yes I did, you deserve to be spoiled each and every second of the day." I said "Your so sweet." She smiled stroking my cheek. "I really do want to have kids with you." I said "So do I, I want full days of chasing around our little miracle playing hide and go seek." She smiled "That sounds perfect." I smiled then kissed her. "I want to get pregnant but now that we're you know, I don't want to be pregnant before we're wed because that would ruin my reputation."  She said "Well be careful, if you want to keep doing it." I said "Oh I want to keep doing it." She smiled "Lucky for me." I smiled then kissed her. "I can't wait to be your wife." She said "I can't wait to be your husband." I smiled, she smiled back then laid her head on my chest and we both fell asleep wrapped in each other arms with fur blankets wrapped around us.
