Francis's point of view
After another day of meetings and work, I made my way to my bedroom. I feel bad I have been leaving Mary alone so much with the kids. Especially since she's pregnant. I mean I feel like I barely see them, I couldn't even go on a picnic with them the other day. Mary said they had fun but I feel awful. I went to walked down the hall and heard Madelyn crying. I walked in her room and Mary was holding Madelyn like a baby. "Hush now my love." She whispered. "I want daddy!" Madelyn screamed as she cried. "I know, I'm so sorry but he's working right now." She said "Hey Mads, dads here." I smiled "daddy!" She said, I went over to the bed and she curled up in my arms. "Mommy said you were working." She said "I was, but I wanted to come see you." I smiled "You haven't tucked me in bed in two weeks!" She cried "I know, I'm sorry. I'm just very busy with work." I said, I looked at Mary and she looked annoyed. "Madelyn I'm going to check on James, I'll be back." Mary said softly "Night night mommy." Madelyn got off my lap and hugged Mary. "Night night." Mary kissed her forehead "I'm going to bed, Francis." She stood up and walked out. She's mad at me. "Daddy can you sing me a song?" She asked wiping her tears. "You really want to hear me sing?" I smiled, she nodded. I picked her up and she laid her head on my shoulder. "My little princess, oh how much I love you. I love you all the way to the moon and back a million billion times. Oh my little princess yes I do." I softly hummed, I looked down and she was already sleeping. I laid her down in her bed. I pulled the blankets over her. I waited a few minutes and watched her to make sure she was asleep. Once I was sure I walked out and went to James's room, he was sleeping. I went into our bedroom ready to listen to why she's mad. She was laying in bed facing away from my side. I changed into my night clothes in silence not knowing if she was asleep or not. I got in bed but made sure not to touch her. "Francis, are you awake?" She asked "Yes." I said "I feel like I'm all alone." She said "Why do you feel that way?" I asked "You do your duty as king all day and into most nights and you know I understand it's hard to rule a country. But Francis I spend all day having tea with the nobles wives and doing my duty as the queen, taking care of my children. But they are constantly asking for you and wondering why their dad doesn't want to be around them. They don't understand how you are busy all day in meetings with advisors they understand is they see dad drinking with his friends." She said "Mary I just get caught up in one meeting after another." I said "Francis, you have another daughter or son on they way so please make time for your children now." She said "Mary, I'm so-" I got half way through before she cute me off. "Madelyn has been kicking and screaming like that for you for three days." She said "Mary how was I supposed to know that?" I asked "Just simply cut out one of your meetings to say goodnight to your children or even better yet ask me how our children are or how god forbid how I am." She said "Mary I have so much on my plate right now I can't deal with you!" I yelled "Francis, I will be in my chambers when you would like to have a conversation with out aggressively yelling at me." She got out of bed and walked towards the  door. "Mary wait, I didn't mean to yell at you." I walked after her. "Francis come talk to me when you realize how much of a dick being king has made you, i don't even recognize my own husband." She said, she looked at me with such disappointment and walked down the hall to her chambers.
