"Please Sangre.. I need you to trust me on this.. you dont have to be scared.. Im here.. we should get going now before anyone sees us, okay?"

I just continue to stare at Sangre and she still has this worried look on her face.

Its like she has this invisible shield so I cannot get through.

I want to kiss her.. to break her defense.. to weaken her stiff heart, to make all her doubts go away. But since were in a tight situation, everything seems impossible with her.

She just kept silent so I leaned to whisper in her ear.

"You'll be okay, I promise you.. let's go?" ulit ko sa pakiusap ko at titig sa mga mata nya.

Umiling sya pagkatapos at bimitaw sa mga kamay ko.

"H-Hindi.. hindi mo naiintindihan.." aniya.

"This could be a big mistake, General." pagpapatuloy nya. "You always say to trust you, but in reality, its not that easy for me. Youve abandoned me before, if that happens again, I have nothing to go back to! No Zaltalluna and no family! Do you see now?"

"Sangre!" I said in frustration. "You dont have to worry about things like that! Like I said, Im here! Im never gonna let that happen! I will never abandon you!"

"At paano mo naman nasabi? Nangako ka rin naman dati!"

"Just trust Sangre! Trust and faith! Believe in me!"

"I believed in you before! But you neglected me! Im sorry but I dont trust you any longer!"

Wala na kong nasagot sa huling sinabi ni Sangre at natahimik na lang.

If I were the old Tedros, I would have already walked out on her. But these days I trained my heart to be strong. That everytime she would say hurtful things to me, I would remember my hurtful words to her.

Na may nasabi akong mas masasakit sa kanya kaya di ko sya maaring sisihin.

"Well, we cant go back now. Ravan organized everything already. Ano na lang ang sasabihin nya pag hindi natuloy ang plano." matipid na sagot ko.

Hindi na sumagot si Sangre at yumuko na lang. Minuto pa ang lumipas at may narinig akong sumisitsit sa isang gilid.

"Pst! Mahal na Duke!" tawag nito sa isang puno kaya agad ko syang namataan.

"Matt?" bulong ko pagkakita sa isang lalaki.

Matt is one of my people at Sevardosi. He then came forward and bowed to me.

"Mahal na Duke!" panimula nya. "Kanina ko pa po kayo inaantay! Umalis na ko sa pwesto ko at baka napano na kasi kayo!"

"No. Were okay. We're just having a little talk here." sagot ko sa lalaki.

"Lady Sangria." ani naman ng lalaki at yuko kay Sangre. "Sumama na po kayo at marami pa pong nag-aantay sa inyo sa Sevardosi."

"Nag-aantay?" kunot noong tingin ni Sangre sa akin at balik kay Matt. "You mean Ate Eups?"

Asar ko namang tinignan si Matt sa pagkakataong ito. Cause those people he just mentioned is my surprise! How dare he get ahead of me! Bangasan ko kaya to?!

"General, sinong nagaantay sa akin sa Sevardosi?" ulit na tanong ni Sangre kaya wala na kong nagawa kundi ang bumigay.

"Your family, Sangre." I said at last.
