Chapter 13

(Y/N)'s Pov

I managed to gather the strength to stand up.

I couldn't go back to the others looking like this...

Why couldn't I do anything...?

I sigh and make my way to the first aid room to grab an ice pack.

I spot myself in a mirror...

I look disgusting...

Light gave me a black eye and my hair was a mess. I also had a good few bruises around me.

I sigh again, pick up an ice pack and hold it to my black eye.

"What do I do now...?" I mutter.

I felt tears form in my eyes...

No! I don't want to cry again...

I soon heard the door creak open. I flinched and dropped the ice pack.

Matsuda had walked into the room.

"O-Oh! It's j-just you M-Mr Matsuda", I say, letting out a sigh of relief.

I spoke too soon...

Light walked in behind him...

I stepped back and tripped over a chair, falling to the ground.

"Why are you so afraid Yuki? It's only me", Light said, smirking.

"Yeah! Calm down Yuki!" Matsuda knelt down beside me.

"Whoa! What happened to you Yuki?!" He asked, gesturing to my black eye.

"She walked into the door when I took her down", Light laughed. I glared back at him, but I didn't say anything.
Matsuda wouldn't believe me anyway...

"Y-Yeah! C-Clumsy Yuki!" I say, laughing nervously and scratching the back of my head.

Matsuda laughed.

"Well, we got worried since you were away for quite some time, so Ryuzaki sent us to come find you", he said.

"I-I'll be b-back in a s-second", I say.

"Alright then", Matsuda helped me up and I dusted myself off.

"We'll be waiting back in the main room", Matsuda said and left.

Light watched him go then turned to face me.

"Speak a word of what happened earlier, and I will kill you", Light said, before turning away and leaving.

I sigh and pick up the ice pack that was on the ground. I sort my tie and brush my hair with the small brush I keep in my pocket.

I take a deep breath and head back to the main room.

I walk in to find everyone looking at me.

"Yuki! What took you so long?" Aizawa asked.

"I-I...uh...I h-hurt myself m-more th-than I th-thought..." I say, scratching the back of my head.
"But I'm okay now".

Everyone turned away but I noticed L gave me a strange look for a few seconds.

"You have a black eye", he says.

"Y-Yeah! I uh...w-walked into a-a door!"

"Hmm..."

L turned back around to his work.
