TAYLOR (CHAPTER 16)

"You really don't talk much do you?" I hear Carter say, making me lose my thoughts.

"Well, I do talk," I tell him. "But I just don't know what to talk about, therefore, makes me not talk at all," I smile, hearing him laugh.

"I can help you." I raise my eyebrows.

"I am not playing that stupid game again," I say, not at all liking twenty one questions. I honestly don't understand the game as well. I mean, why would I waste my time answering useless questions about myself, if the other person is really not going to remember it?

I would just be wasting my precious time, and my answers as well.

"Not the game," he sighs. "Just, ask me a question." I groan, rolling my eyes.

"Not this again," I whine.

"What?" He raises his eyebrow.

"We're literally playing twenty-one questions again!" I shout, letting go of his hand, which I totally forgot I was holding.

"No, we're not," he says. "And give it back." I stare at him in confusion, turning my head at the side.

"Give what back?"

"You're hand," he points at my hand he was holding before. "Give it back," he softly says, which makes me smile. Amused, I pull out my hand, watching him take it, interlocking our fingers.

I laugh, looking right at him. "I can't believe I'm on a date with a guy who acts like a child." I hear him scoff, running his fingers through his hair.

"I am not a child," he pouts, yet his mouth quickly forms into a smirk. "Yeah no, I can't even say that without smiling."

"Aw, that's adorable," I squeal, turning my body as I pinch his cheek with my other hand since the other one is taken by him of course.

"Ow," he mumbled, pushing my hand away and rubbing his cheek. "How the hell do kids like this?" he questions.

"They don't," I laugh, seeing a tiny red spot form onto his cheek.

"Well if they don't like it, how the hell do they not cry or punch the damn person?" I open my mouth in shock, pushing at his chest. "What?" He laughs.

"Do you really think a child would punch someone if they pinched their cheek?" I ask, which he nods fastly.

"I would've!" I snort. "I would though! That pinch hurts! I mean I know I'm cute and all, but seriously, that's a pain I don't wanna relive again." He shakes his head.

"A pinch hurts?" I ask sarcastically, putting my hand on my chest in shock. "Oh no, you poor baby," I roll my eyes.

"But it does hurt!"

"And childbirth doesn't?" I question, which he quickly shuts up. "Thought so," I smile, knowing that I have won this topic. Sure, I can give him the option to compare a pinch to childbirth, but there is no way he can win in that topic. Childbirth sucks.

I mean I don't really know since I've never popped out a child in my life, but I mean, I've heard enough of my mother's complaints of how much pain and misery my sister and I have given her for nine months straight. But hey, not my fault. She wanted to have sex without protection, not me. Also, she wanted kids.... so that happened.

"Do you want kids?" I ask out of the blue, seeing his eyes widen in seconds as I ask him that question.

"From you?"

"What? No!" I say with disgust, shaking my head. "I mean, in the future."

"Oh," he mouthes, cleary now understanding at to what I meant. "Yeah," he nods to himself. "Of course I do."
