TAYLOR (CHAPTER 20)

"You ready to have the time of your life chicha?" I turn to look at Mia smirking, causing me to feel a tad bit unsure of this whole "plan" that she has.

"I don't know Mia. You know me, I don't like having fun." Which is very true.

"Ugh," she rolls her eyes. "I honestly don't know how you and Lila are siblings. You're the complete opposite from her." Also very true.

"Gee thanks. I'm so shocked," I say sarcastically, turning my head to look out the window.

"But seriously el cariño, you better find a hot guy and have fun tonight," she tells me.

"And if I don't?"

"Trust me. You will," she smiles, sending a wink my way.

"I doubt that," I tell her. "Also, I don't think going to a nightclub is my scene, Mia."

"And what is your scene?" she asks, her eyes still on the road.

"Staying home and reading a good novel of course," I smile, feeling now jealous of Lila since she's all alone at home, possibly doing something stupid as usual, but still, she's home. As for I, well, that's the complete opposite.

"Look, kid, you're a beautiful young girl that needs to blossom into the real world."

"Blossom? I don't think you used that word correctly Mia. The wording sounds weird," I tell her.

"But you do know what I'm talking about right?" Yuck, of course, I know what this silly girl is talking about. I'm not stupid, right now at least.

"I got it, Mia," I mutter, trying my best to avoid this topic with her.

"No, but seriously, your parents have given you the birds and the bees talk right?" Oh. My. Gosh.

"La la la la la," I shout, shutting my hearing so that I don't have to suffer through this.

"Stop it." Her words become muffled as I still continue to block my ears with my hands, yet Mia pulls my hands away and tells me to stop acting like a child. Me? A child? Puh-lease.

"So you do know it," she smirks, making me now all of sudden feel uncomfortable. Now look, I got it. Sex, blah blah blah, babies. Whatever.

I've had the sex talk since I was probably ten years old. I remember waiting for the day that my parents would give me the "talk" yet it never happened. I was free! Yet, I forgot about one tiny little thing. Health class. Now that, wasn't fun. Having your teacher explain to you about the human body, and how it works, and just what happens if you don't put protection on the damn banana.

My school did it like this. The class was divided and the girls and guys could not mix when it came the time for health class to start. Which was fine I guess, since it would've been extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing for everyone I supposed, but it was also foolish as well.

Like honestly, did the teachers not know that everyone would "spill the beans" when it came to recess time? I was scared for my life after hearing about the other stuff.

"Taylor?" I turn to look at Mia, forgetting that I'm still in the car with her.

"Yes, yes," I groan. "I know what sex is Mia. You're literally talking to a twenty-one-year-old here," I tell her, crossing my arms in frustration.

"I know, I know," she sighs. "It's just that Lila told me that you're practically innocent as a bunny." A bunny? She has got to be kidding me. Does she not know the term going at it like rabbits? I hardly believe that bunnies are innocent. Sure, they do look fluffy and cute, but how do we really know what bunnies are like?
