TAYLOR (CHAPTER 61)

"You got it covered right?" I sigh, unbuckling my seatbelt.

"You need to calm down and take a chill pill, Lila. This is my life, not yours," I tell her in frustration.

"Look, I know this is your life and it only involves you, but since you are my sister and we're family, this involves me as well. Plus, what is even a chill pill?"

"You're getting off-topic Lila."

"Oops sorry. What I'm saying is that whatever problems you have, their my problems as well. We fix it together alright?"

"Thanks, but right now, this exact problem is mine for now, and I have to handle it, not you."

"Dammit, I guess you're right. Well, will you at least do me a favour and tell me what happens?" she asks with a sad smile. Nodding I bring her in for a hug.

"I love you, Lila. Have fun on your honeymoon and don't return pregnant. I don't think I'm ready to be an aunt just yet." Lila laughs at my words, letting me go.

"And what? Do you think I'm ready to be a mom yet? Pff, I think Shawn and I need a couple of years Taylor. We need to settle in as wife and husband first, then maybe, we can become parents. Wouldn't that be awesome though? Imagine, me with a child," she says with a huge smile on her face, her eyes sparkle as she thinks of the idea.

"I mean it could happen. Just don't go overboard with the idea alright? A kid means hard work Lila, so just make sure that when the time comes, you and Shawn are actually ready to have one. Just hope the kid won't be an accident..."

"Taylor!"

"What? Don't you guys have unprotected sex all the time or something?!"

"That's none of your business!"

"Whatever," I mutter. "Just wait for the right time alright?"

"Don't worry Taylor, sheesh. Now get out of my car. I wanna buy some McDonald's."

"Wow, rude much? And hey, I want McDonald's!" I shout at her with a frown.

"Yeah well it's too late and you didn't tell me you want McDonald's before."

"Because you never asked!"

"Potato, patato," Lila says.

"Fine then. I'm leaving," I say, grabbing my bag and leaving Lila's car. "Oh, and make sure you don't gain some weight okay? We don't want another problem as we had with the wedding dress," I say with a smirk, closing the car door with a slam as I say those final words to her.

I wave goodbye, watching through the dark window at Lila's shocked and angry face which causes me to laugh. Watching at her now driving away I sigh, looking straight at a house that clearly is a mansion fit for a king.

A king who is Carter Green. Carter texted me his directions a while ago, wanting to talk to me immediately, saying that it was something important that made my stomach churn in seconds.

"Taylor?" I jump at the voice, raising my head to see Carter standing right in front of the door. Crap, how long have I been standing here like a freak?

"I, just, uh, well, um--" I stutter, trying to come up with words as I stare straight at the ground.

"How long were you standing out here for?" he says with a smirk, crossing his arms as he takes me all in. I laugh nervously, brushing a piece of my hair behind my ear.

"Not long. Less than five minutes," I mutter. Carter nods at my answer, walking outside he closes the door behind him, locking it with his key. Walking down the long driveway he grabs my hand in seconds, pulling me to his car.
