"Best friends? Hah! That...That seems alright.. I guess?", i mumbled while having the Nercha.
"Why what's wrong in being Best friends?!", Natalie asked.
"No no nothing! It's just that.."
Subconscious Mind:- "Just say it already, come on!"
"Chuck it!"
"Cool..let's go?", Natalie said while gesturing me to walk towards the church hall.
"Where?"
"Just follow me!", she replied bluntly.
I walked into the church and through the same alleyway, and then she stopped in front of the stairs leading to some room. It seemed to look like that of the parish priest. I wondered why she brought me here. That's when i felt a tap on my back.
"What's up bro?! You forgot about us once you met Natalie?", it was Dennis and his gang.
Dennis was indeed like the one from the comics, Dennis the Menace! He was the typical teenage Alpha with his "gang" of people. Honestly it wasn't a gang, more like contrast of people on the basis of weight and intelligence.
Albert Tony :- The fattest [not fat shaming] of them all, but the smartest.
Zachory Borthwick :- Fit guy, kind off smart, a bit on the average level.
Christopher Eric :- The Videshi guy who needed a group to fit in for high school church classes. Definitely the best group to hangout with if you want attention.
So yeah these guys were from our church obviously, and they were bullies. Did i care? Not at all. I mean bullying is so middle school man!
"Hey Karate kid, what's up with you and Nat? Remember, don't even think of getting along with her, she's mine!", Dennis said.
"Hah! Did you just say that Natalie is yours? Try this trick on someone else douchebag, she will hangout with whoever she likes and doesn't need your consent for that!", i replied.
Natalie giggles.
Christopher lunges into the conversation and pushes me to the wall,"Don't you ever talk to Dennis like that punk! And yeah Natalie is HIS girl so stay away from her alright?", he says this while grabbing my throat.
I didn't do a thing, reason being it's a church, I respected that. Christopher then pushes me away from the group and walks back to the group. "Told you John, don't take on the wrong guys, else you'll get embarrassed!", Dennis boasts and then the group leaves the two of us.
Albert stops and turns around to face me and says," You shouldn't really be indulging in these things John, just leave the girl for him."
"No Albert, you shouldn't interfere in this, after all it was you who left our group to join Dennis group of bastards!", I replied in a stiff tone.
"Don't take them seriously John, they are just bullies after all.", Natalie comforted me.
I nodded in reply and walked with her to the room. Indeed the room was of the Parish Priest's, i was about to ask Natalie why she brought me here when i hear:-
"Come my boy! Come. Sit down.", It was our Parish Priest Fr.Davis Sebastian.
Fr.Davis was a very supportive priest, and really forward thinking one too! I never thought that a person doing a mundane service of praising God could be so cool.
