One night I was at home. My mom was out of town and my dad was deported to Iraq. All I had was my food and all my weird and sometimes disturbing thoughts.
I had nothing else to do so I grabbed the tub of chocolate ice cream from the freezer. I jumped over the couch, after grabbing a spoon, and turned on the television as I pondered on what to watch.
Eventually, I settled for watching a show called Bumble Buds. The show is stupid but that's what makes it fun to watch. I got distracted watching the show and I didn't realize I had already finished the tub of ice cream. All I knew at the moment was if I didn't get another one before my parents got home, I would be in huge trouble.
I put the tub and spoon aside before I heard a crash. Was that a window? I wasn't sure but I put it aside thinking it was the neighbor's kid playing hockey in the driveway. I started to suddenly laugh at the thought of how in trouble that kid would be in.
