I sat on the mattress waiting for whatever was going to come next. Being alone allowed anxiety to flow through my head. In silence, my thoughts rushed with the worst scenarios playing out. Slowly taking deep breaths, my mind cleared but allowed the pain to creep in. Thankfully, the pain went away as quickly as it set in. Still alone, I took another survey of the room. Against the wall beside the door was the medical kit and supplies Sean had used for my currently aching back. I couldn't help but wonder where he was, let alone where the other's were.

After sitting alone for what I think was an hour, the door opened with Peter quickly walking in. He had a tablet in his hand while patiently waiting for the door to close. He came over and sat on the floor next to me after making sure the door stayed closed. Taking a small glance at the tablet, Peter handed it to me, letting a small smile show. When I looked down to the tablet, I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"Dad!" I said in a whispery yell. I looked up with a smile of thanks to Peter. Looking back at the tablet I saw my dad smile before he told me to stay quiet as he talked. He explained how Peter, Sean, and Jacob were helping me and sending him updates about my situation. He didn't seem to know about my recent nightmare and how Peter helped me. A sorry expression came over my dad's face.

"I'm sorry you have to go through this. I didn't want you to get mixed up in this." my father said. He looked as if he was blaming himself.
