I strained my neck to see the flag on the uniform of the man. It was too dark to see the flag but I noticed something else. This man wasn't wearing a mask. The man cleaned up the dishes and looked up at me once he finished. When he left I was glad I was alone again.

The man walked back into the room after a minute passed. His expression showed regret.

"My name is Lieutenant McLoughlin. No one knows I'm in here. I need to warn you about something." he said.

"Then why don't you go right ahead and tell me." I said with annoyance.

"These people do bad things. Whatever happens, don't tell them anything." he replied, then continued, "You have to be strong. They are going to torture you but they won't do it to the point that threatens your life. I'm trying to figure out a way to get you out of here." the lieutenant finally finished.

Before I could reply, there was a sound of more people coming towards the room. The young looking lieutenant hurried to the door and saluted the soldiers, or what I thought were soldiers, that came in.

I had a minute to think. Lieutenant McLoughlin. That name sounded familiar. Also, he looked like he was my age. Is he really going to help me? If only I had more time to talk to him. I looked at the people standing in the doorway. McLoughlin was standing behind them. Our eyes met briefly before three men walked towards me. I met his gaze one last time. His eyes were wide in pure terror.
