Chapter 24:"You never thought about watching Cat in the Hat?"

Noah's P.O.V.

After talking to my father I drive to the hospital. I know Leah will be mad at me for what I'm about to do but I know she will appreciate it. When I arrive I park and make my way toward the entrance. As I walk down the halls I am reminded of the time I've spend in this place. I don't really remember much of my first few days here but the next few days I remember exactly to the detail. The way my mother looked, crying. The way my father's face was hard and held only one emotion, sorrow. I remember the way Amelia looked, everyone thought she didn't know what was happening but she did. She knew exactly what happened. Andrew was 2 years old back then and he obviously didn't know what was happening, it's Andrew.

I arrive at Mr. Anderson's room's door and knock. I hear a muffled 'come in' and enter. When he looks up at me, his eyebrows furrow. I smile nervously at him. He then lifts only his right eyebrow at me before stating," Leah doesn't know you're here."

I take a deep breath and shake my head.

"No, she doesn't."

"Then why are you here?" He asks getting to the point.

I swallow my nerves.

"I- uh- heard about what happened." I say carefully.

Mr. Anderson notices my nerves and chuckles.

"Don't be so nervous." He says smiling at me.

I nod.

"Continue." He gestures with his hand for me to continue.

"Oh-um-yeah. So I heard that you are kind of struggling with money right now. And I would like to offer to pay for all your medical bills."

Mr. Anderson's mouth falls open and his eyes wide at my words. I chuckle at his expression.

He suddenly brings his hand to his face.

"No." He simply states.

My eyebrows furrow. Damn he really is like Leah.

"Excuse me?" I ask.

He lifts his hand from his face and looks at me.

"I can't take your money, Noah. That's wrong on so many levels. Even if it is your dad's money, he worked hard for it. I can't just take it."

I sigh.

"Sir, my father wouldn't have said yes if he didn't want to do this. And I truly understand what this feels like, not wanting to 'waste' money. But I realized that my family would rather 'waste' money on my health then not having me here, alive. Because you can just make money again but you can't come back. Sir, you can't come back. Leah and Alex couldn't handle that, not having you with them."

Now it's his turn to sigh.

I stare at him, hoping he will change his mind. Because I know that Sailor and Alex won't be able to handle it. They are handling it okay now, but when their dad is actually gone, they'll break. Mr. Anderson's voice brings me out from my trance.

"If I agree then what happens?"

Leah's P.O.V.

"Why not?"

"I don't know, Leah. I just never thought to."

"You never thought about watching Cat in the Hat?"

I am currently sitting at Starbucks with Thomas. We were talking about movies and he asked me what my favorite movie was and guess what I said? You guessed it, 'Cat in the Hat'. And then he told me he has never seen it, like what's wrong with you?

"I'm sorry, okay? I will watch it when I get a chance." Thomas says taking my hands in his. He smiles up at me, making me smile at him.

"Good. You should educate yourself." I say making him chuckle.

We continue talking about movies and I found out that Thomas' favorite movie is 'Jurassic Park'. That's pretty cool. I love that movie. When we're done with our drinks it's about 6 p.m. at night. So he drives me back to the house. When we stop in front of the house he gets out of the car and runs toward my side to open the door. He opens the door and grasps my hand, helping me out. I smile up at him as I get out.

When I'm standing tall, Thomas grabs hold of my waist and pulls me toward him. He kisses me. God, it's amazing. I love it. We kiss for a few seconds and then he leans his forehead against mine.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Thomas whispers.

My head jerks away from him and I stare at him with wide eyes.

"What?" I ask.

Thomas places his hand on my cheek," I like you, a lot. And I want you. I want to make it official."

I release a deep breath I didn't know I was holding. I want to say yes, because he is an amazing guy. He's great. Thomas is a special gentlemen that I like a lot.

But why am I hesitating? Screw it!

"Yes." I whisper.

Thomas' head snaps toward me and a smile appears on his face.

"Thank God. I have a girlfriend and it's you, Leah!" He yells with a cheeky grin.

"And you're my boyfriend." I hesitate," Thomas."
