Leah's P.O.V.

"Excuse me?"

Noah sighs looking down.

"Thomas is cheating on you." He repeats but in whisper this time.

I freeze, not moving a muscle. I think my breathing also might have stopped.

What is he saying? Is he lying? Yes, Thomas would never cheat on me. I told him before we started dating that the one thing he mustn't do is cheat. If he didn't like me anymore then he has to tell me, not cheat.

I glance at Noah's guilty looking face before saying in just above a whisper," You're lying."

Noah's head snaps up at my words and his eyebrows furrow.

"I'm not lying, Sailor." Noah's voice is laced with pain and worry.

I shake my head rapidly closing my eyes tight.

"No. No, it can't be true." I raise my voice again with my eyes still closed.

Suddenly I feel two warm hands cupping my cheeks and I lean into them.

No! I can't, he is lying to me!

I wrench my head away from his hands and open my eyes. I look at Noah's pained expression.

I furrow my eyebrows before looking at the floor.

"Sailor-"Noah's voice reaches my ears but I cut him off.

"Don't call me that!" I yell looking up at him.

"What?" Noah asks looking confused.

I take a deep breath closing my eyes again before opening them.

I look Noah square in his eyes and repeat my words.

"I said don't call me that."

Noah's eyebrows furrow as he looks back at me. He takes a step toward me but I take one backwards. Noah notices my action and stops dead in his tracks. Noah blinks a few times before looking toward the floor. He sighs and closes his eyes.

I merely look at him. I take a step forward and when he doesn't react, I make my way toward the bedroom door. When I wrap my fingers around the doorknob and pull the door open.

Before I step out of his room, Noah's voice reaches my ears.

"I'm sorry."

I merely look over my shoulder back at him. He looks up at me and our eyes meet. There is a weird emotion on his face for a second but it disappears immediately. I turn around and take a sharp breath before closing the door behind me.

I quickly make my way down the stairs and toward the front door. Before I can close the door behind me, Mrs. Clark calls my name.

I turn around slowly.

Her smiling expression turns into one of worry.

"Are you okay, Sweetie?" She asks in a voice that makes my heart squeeze tight, because her voice reminds me of my mother's caring one.

I merely nod feeling the tears form in my eyes. As she is about to say something else Noah appears at the top of the stairs looking in a hurry. When his eyes land on me at the door his face relaxes.

"Leah! Please, let me explain." He pleads as he makes his way down the stairs.

A tear leaves my eye as I turn around and open the door. As I close the door behind me, I see a sad-looking Noah reaching for me.
