Leah's P.O.V.

Noah and I are driving toward his house. After he basically saved me he grabbed hold of my hand and led me toward his car. The drive was silent, because neither of us knew what to say or do. I merely leaned my head against the cold window as I let out a big sigh.

"Why the big sigh?" Noah questions with a chuckle.

I turn my head and glance at his smiling face.

"Why did you come over?" I ask turning to him fully but my head still on the window. Noah's smiling face changes into one of stone. No emotion shows on his face as he stares at the road ahead.

"I just thought that you needed some company." He says still not spearing me a glance. I see a muscle in his cheek twitch as he swallows hard.

I turn my head away and close my eyes. I take a deep breath before opening them again.

"Well, thank you... for coming." I state not looking at Noah's reaction.

The rest of the drive is silent as before but this time something has changed, like we know what happened but we accept it. When we near Noah's house my heart starts to race, because I don't know what his family is going to think about me staying there. What is his mother going to think of a random girl living with her family and intruding their life style and what about his dad? What will Amelia, Andrew and Emily think?

Oh my fuck.

Out of the corner of my eye I see Noah glance at me and when he sees my expression, he smiles.

"They know you're coming." He simply states as if reading my mind. He slowly lifts his hand from his lap and grasps mine. The shock I feel when his hand comes in contact with mine, scares me. I look up at him and see his cheeks have flushed a little pink shade. He notices that I'm looking at him but just continues his stare on the road ahead.

A small smile stretches across my face as I turn away to look out the window at the passing houses.

We finally reach his house and when he stops in the driveway my heart drops to my feet. My nerves are obviously showing on my face, because Noah gets out the car and makes his way toward my side and opens the door. He reaches his hand down toward me as a sign of support. I slowly reach my hand up to grasp his.

As I get out the car our faces come to close for comfort and our eyes lock. My heart stops and my breathing becomes rigid and strained. Noah's eyes are filled with a strange emotion that I can't name. His eyes flicker to my lips for a second but then back down toward the ground. He stares at his shoes before closing his eyes and lifting his head as if he is staring at the sky.

He then turns around abruptly and starts walking toward the front door. I just stare at his retreating figure. He opens the front door and stops in his tracks before looking down toward me. He gestures for me to come into the house. He still remains staring at the ground as I pass him.

As I step into the house, Mrs Clark appears out of nowhere and grabs my face in her hands. With her hands cupping my cheeks, she stares into my eyes as if she is searching for something.

"Are you okay?" She asks quietly and gently as if she is afraid of hurting me more.

My eyes go wide, because I can't believe Noah told her about what happened with Thomas. I glance at him standing behind his mother at the front door. I catch his eyes and he furrows his eyebrows at my expression. Realization shines in his eyes as he realizes why I'm looking at him that way. He merely shakes his head signalling that he didn't say anything.
