**George's POV**

God damn it.

The words 'Cassie isn't available' flashed on the screen.

What did I do?

I missed her. I missed her so much.

I didn't realise what part she played in my world. She was my sun.

The screen flashed and I prayed it was Cass.

Nope.

It was Alex.

I pressed accept.

"Hello?" I groaned, frustrated that it wasn't Cassidy.

"Hey George, how you feeling?" Shit, really.

"Not too flash," I replied bluntly.

"Oh. Get your shoes on, I'm almost home."

What?

"Huh?"

"You heard me." He replied, exiting the call.

Okay.

I pulled on my shoes, just an old pair of Adidas shoes. I sat back on the couch, watching the door.  A figure appeared outside the door and opened the door. A brown-haired girl opened the door, smiled from cheek to cheek. She held a six-pack of lemonade in one hand and held the door with the other.

"Alex, I'm here!" She yelled gleefully.

We made eye contact and her face dropped.

George. She mouthed, seemingly unable to speak.
