"Hi, George."

"Hi, Cassidy."

I felt my chest tense. 

"How are you?" He asked, avoiding eye contact.

"Good." 

"That good."

I heard Alex burst in through the door behind me, puffing behind me.

"Hey, guys." He said shying to which I assumed he regretted bringing us together.

"Hey, Alex." Huffed George. "Mind answering why she's here?"

"Excuse me?" I asked, a slight tang of offence in my voice. "She? Do I look like an animal to you?"

"I never said you were an animal."

I was just about to protest when Alex stepped in. 

"Both of you, stop it. You're twenty years old, not six. You should know how to sort things out"

I crossed my arms and groaned. 

"Maybe I don't want to be around him!"

George stood up, beginning to yell.

"Why is she even here?! I didn't invite her!"

"I invited Cassidy." Replied Alex, remaining calmly.

"Wait, what? I was told by Alex that I was coming to hang out and you were gone."

George stayed silent.

"You both need to sort it out." Said Alex quickly, then shutting the door, leaving us together.
