Yay! #1 in Danmei <3 Thanks for loving the story guys!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Misha entered the private room cautiously. The room was dark with a single table illuminated in the center. The light ensured the rest of the room could not be seen. Scanning the room but unable to see past the darkness, Misha slid to the side of the wall and waited for his eyes to adjust.

Misha: (Wyatt is there anything dangerous in this room?)

[There is one person standing near the table but just outside the circle of light. He is dangerous but not to you. He has no malicious intent at the moment.]

Misha: (Mmhm)

Despite what Wyatt said Misha was still heavily wary as he approached the table. As Misha looked across he thought it was interesting how, even when he is standing this close to the person Wyatt locked on to he still could not sense a presence.

There was one chair facing away from him with a steaming hot meal placed in front. Obviously it was meant for him. Not knowing exactly what he was supposed to do here in the first place he hesitated before proceeding to sit down and dig in.

The food was delicious. The rice was fluffy and lightly seasoned with saffron and the meat was tender and soaked up the spices that exploded in his mouth. He appreciated the care and time he could feel went into the food but there was something significant that was missing. He couldn't figure it out bite after bite. The food was completely gone but he still couldn't figure it out.

Staring at the remnants of his food, he was lost in thought before a bowl of rose water and a white towel appeared beside his plate. Calmly accepting the bowl he washed his hands. Within the crisp water he felt a petal that was harder than the rest. Scooping it out of the water he saw it was a crystalized rock and the center was inscribed with dark letters.

The package is at your feet. Eat.

Glancing at his feet he sees a briefcase that wasn't there before. Raising his eyebrow at the darkness he securely gripped the handle and prepared to leave. As he was going he popped the crystal into his mouth.

(Yum. It's strawberry flavored.)

Walking away from the building he crunches away at the hard candy. He walks away from the main street into an alleyway and starts to climb up the stairs normally meant as a fire escape.

[MISHA STOP!]

Misha froze in the half step he was taking. In the place he foot was going to land was a newly created hole. The steam from the melted metal wafted into his nose to introduce the bitter stench of acid and hot iron.

[6 O'CLOCK!]

Not even having time to process what was happening before jumping up to cling onto the next case of starirs. Two steams of light pass where he just stood and Misha had to grit his teeth before he landed back on the metal steps with a bang.

Not wasting any time he hastened his ascend to the roof, all the while dodging the attacks sniping him from all directions.

(Wyatt pinpoint where the attacks are coming from!)

[I'm already on it. Just focus on getting to the roof! You can't counterattack from here!]

(I know!)

Misha finally made it to the roof but just as he reached it the attacks suddenly stopped.

(They stopped because they likely think I won't be able to pinpoint them now that I don't have focus on dodging anymore. Big mistake.)

Misha hid behind a chimney stack before slowly slinking away from the rooftop. In this world he was an assassin. He wouldn't charge straightforwardly like a raging bull. No. His style is to stalk the target silently, where they can't see or hear him until he has them by the throat.

Keeping an eye on the position of the sun and the angle of the shadows he merged with one shadow and steamed across like flowing ink into the next. He already discovered the general direction of the attacks while he was ascending the roof, he just needs Wyatt to tell him the exact location.

[He's behind the water tank of the hotel at 11 o'clock. He's full of malicious intentions. Be careful.]

(Mmh.)

Misha could see the person laying on his stomach with a large sniper next to him. The person was using binoculars and had them pointed at the rooftop where he was attacked. Confirming this was indeed the person who attacked him he continued his path to the mysterious attacker. He got close to his target and was waited quietly. He wanted to know why he was being attacked on his first outing. Was this a case of mistaken identity or was this part of a test? He didn't have another identity to be attacked for. After all he was a foreign entity to this world without a past.

Sniper: "Dammit where'd that brat go? Tech search for him!"

(Wyatt can you tap into the line? I want to know who he's talking to.)

[Got it. Here you go.]

"-eally have to do this? The kid is on our side!"

Sniper: "Shut up! You're already my accomplice! If I'm found out you won't get off free either!"

"That's because you told me you were on the trail of a Cambodian sex trafficker! Stop doing this, we are supposed to be a family."

Sniper: "That's right we are supposed to be a family and family helps each other. So help me! That brat isn't family! Family doesn't steal from each other and that brat stole my master! I was supposed to be Al's apprentice not some random stray orphan!"

(Ah so that it.)

Despite such hate being directed at him. He had no expression on his face.

[Misha... Don't let the small mindedness of a few freeze your heart. Remember there are a lot of people out there. Keep yourself safe but not alone.]

Misha's eyes softened a bit.

Misha: "Mmh."
