Jughead was walking to school. He had his headphones on, instead of in his pockets, his hands were holding a book. Specifically speaking, Veronica Lodge's personal journal.

He was reading it as he was walking.

Day 18

Just came back from Pop's. Me and Reggie's "date" was fun. We didn't treat it like a romantic date, it was more like hanging out.

We told eachother jokes, secrets, we even gossiped like little girls.

It was rea--

"Ow!"

Due to Jughead not paying attention to where he was going, he crashed into someone. Veronica.

He looked away from the words, seeing the raven haired princess in distress on the ground, rubbing her head.

"Oh. Sorry." Jughead said, almost completely sarcastically.

"Thanks." Veronica rolled her eyes.

Jughead was ready to walk off, until Veronica cleared her throat.

"Mind helping me up?" She asked.

"What? You can't get back up?" Jughead took off his headphones.

"Well, as you can see, I'm wearing a dress. And I look ridiculous when trying to get up wearing a dress." Veronica explained.

Jughead sighed, then lend the girl a hand. She gladly took it, standing back on her feet.

"Hey, what's that?" She asked, dusting herself off.

"What's what?" Jughead questioned.

"That." Veronica pointed towards the book in his hands.

"Oh. Nothing." Jughead hid it behind his back.

"Jughead, seriously? I know we hate eachother, but can't you tell me what you're reading? Basically what caused this disaster in the first place?"

Jughead groaned. "It's a story I'm reading. Romance." He lied.

"Romance? Betty, or- you never said you were into romance." Veronica corrected herself.

"Is it bad to try different genres?" Jughead asked, obviously pissed.

Veronica put her hands up. "Chill out."

Jughead shook his head, then continued walking.

Veronica furrowed her eyebrows. Is he serious?

She caught up to him, walking by his side.

"What now?" Jughead asked, not even looking at her.

"What's the story about? The title?" Veronica asked.

"Why do you need to know?"

"I don't know. Maybe I wanna read it." Veronica crossed her arms.

"It's hard to believe that you like reading." Jughead said.

"Why is that?" Veronica questioned.

"You seem more film-y." Jughead answered. "You don't read, you watch."

"I mean, sure. If I don't have the book, I watch the film. If the book even has the film. But if I do have the book, I would definitely read it before I watch the film. Most of the time the book is better than the movie." Veronica rambled.

"I guess." Jughead shrugged.

"Look, the point is, maybe we really don't know anything about eachother." Veronica said. "I like reading, you like watching the film. Or writing."

"Both." Jughead put his hands in his pockets.

"You can only choose one." Veronica swung her purse.

"That's impossible." Jughead smiled, a tiny bit.

Veronica hadn't noticed. "Fine, whatever. Both. Anyways, I know this might sound stupid, but I would love to get to know you better."

Jughead's eyebrows furrowed. "Preposterous."
