11:02pm.

Everyone was downstairs partying, while Jughead was upstairs in his bedroom.

Nobody really noticed he was gone, until Archie did notice his absence. He went to Veronica to ask where he was.

"He's in his bedroom. But, I don't think he wants to see anyone, anyways. Jughead wants to spend his New Year's alone." Veronica rolled her eyes at the word, alone.

Archie was confused, his head filled with many questions.

Why does Jughead want to be alone?

Why is Veronica so mad?

How slow is Hiram, and why hasn't he caught me yet?

He went upstairs to Jughead's room, and gave the door three knocks. One for curiosity, one for the sake of Veronica, and one to make sure he's still alive.

There was a long silence before Jughead opened the door, by a little crack. He peeked to see who it was. When Jughead realized that it was just his ginger-head bestfriend, he let him in.

"I just wanna spend time alone. Even if it's just with you, Arch." Jughead sat down on his desk chair.

"What about Veronica?" Archie asked.

"Of course, I would love to spend all my life with her." Jughead replied.

Archie furrowed his eyebrows, "really?"

"Yeah. Why, did something happen?" Jughead inquired.

"Well, she did kinda seem a little mad at you." Archie answered.

Jughead sat up, "she's mad at me?"

"I mean, I guess. It might not be because of you, but once I asked her where you were, she answered with an attitude. A bad attitude." Archie sat down on his friend's bed.

"What did she say?"

"She said that you were in your bedroom. Then, she said that you don't want to see anyone, because you wanted to spend your New Year's alone. By the way, she also rolled her eyes." Archie explained.

Jughead didn't exactly see what was wrong. He was being oblivious, considering he was a detective.

"I'm gonna go talk to her," Jughead stood up, and walked downstairs.

Archie was left in Jug's room. He looked around, and found a bunch of stuff that he himself couldn't own.

Archie was then scavenging through Jughead's belongings, finding things he wish he could've had.

Meanwhile, Veronica had a couple drinks. She danced with everyone else, until Jughead came.

"Hey," Jughead greeted. Veronica shrugged him off, walking away.

Jughead rose a brow, then followed her. "Is something wrong, Veronica? Why are you ignoring me? Did I do something wrong?"

Veronica groaned, stopping her tracks. "I thought you wanted to be alone, Jughead."

"Well, yeah, I do."

"Then go spend your time alone. Nobody's bothering you." Veronica crossed her arms.

Jughead sighed, "I know there's something wrong-"

"There's nothing wrong!" Veronica yelled. "Just, enjoy your party by yourself. I don't care!"

Silence swept through the air between them. Jughead then tried to hug her, yet Veronica pushed him away.

"Veronica," Jughead looked her in the eye.
