Chapter 6

The next day I walk into school to see Alex leaning against my locker like he always is. "Morning Alex" I say but he ignores me "um is there something wrong"

"A little birdie told me that you were hanging round with Luke Hemmings"

I nod "yeah I was, I was just upset that my mums missing my birthday again"

I open my locker and put my bag inside. Didn't have to get any books today.

"And you couldn't come to me"

I slam my locker shut "no Alex because you would have said 'get over it' but him you know what he did, he held me, telling me everything was going to be okay” I pause before saying “I’m going to class”

I turn around to head to class but he grabs my wrist and turns me back around "don't hang around with him" he growls squeezing my wrist a bit too hard.

I whimper "you're hurting me". He doesn't listen and squeezes harder "Alex stop"

"Can't you see you are hurting the guy?"

He let's go of my wrist and I turn around to see the black hair guy from yesterday, Calum wasn't it?

"Um I'm trying to have a conversation with my friend" Alex says glaring at him.

Calum smirks "oh really" he says stepping closer to us "well it seems like you're hurting your friend, so why don't you back off him"

“You don’t tell me what to do”

“Just go Alex” I say softly.

Alex glares at me and Calum before storming off. "Thank you" I say.

He smiles at me "no problem, you might get a bruise"

I look down at my wrist and nod "probably"

"I'm Calum Hemmings"

"I know, Alex, he's kind of got all the gossip"

Calum looks at me confused but then an arm comes around his waist. "Baby remember what I told you, he always gets the gossip before anyone else"

"Oh so that's the guy". The other guy giggles and pecks him on the lips before he turns back.

"I guess he already told you but if you don't know. I'm Ashton Hemmings"

"I know" I say and he giggles again. "I'm Michael"

They nod before Calum looks at my hair in shock "wow cool hair dude"

I run my hand through it "thanks"

Ashton smiles "you always get fascinated by the weirdest things"

The bell suddenly rings. "Oh well I'm off to class, bye Michael." Calum says waving at me and giving a peck on the lips for Ashton.

"Um Luke told me to tell you he won't be in school today. Just in case you wondering where he is in history" Ashton tells me.

I smile at him and he smiles back before walking in a different direction to where Calum went. I start to walk to history. I sit where I sat yesterday. Today we were watching a program. I look over to see a bare seat. It's wired being here without Luke. I wasn't really watching the program because something confused me.

If Ashton and Calum were dating, why would they have the same last name??

So Michael meets Calum and Ashton.

So why do you think that Alex is annoyed at Michael for hanging around with Luke? Is it because he still has feelings for Michael? Or is it something else?
