Chapter 31

It was a week before Christmas. Ever since my birthday the days have gone really fast.

I knocked on the door at Luke's house. It was a Thursday and I just got home from school. He told me to come here straight after school. He wasn't in today because he was training for the fight.

Ashton opens the door "hey Michael, Luke's in the library"

Yep they have a library. There's a door in the living room which leads to a library. Let me tell you, it's huge.

I open the library door to see Luke sitting down, a book placed on the table. He was reading it.

I walk over to him and I place a kiss on top if his head. He looks up and smiles "hey"

I give him a warm smile. "Hey" I lean down to give him a kiss on the lips.

I sit next to him "what are you doing?"

"Reading" he replies looking down at the book. "I'm trying to look at some of the weapons that vampire hunters use, so we can be aware"

I take the book off him and look at it "well it says a dagger on this page" I flip over the page "or there's a bow and a poisoned arrow"

He looks closer "I didn't see that"

"Well Luke you have to turn over the page" I laugh at him before going to collect another book.

I walk along until I see some music books, I decided to check them out.

I pick out a guitar book and started to read it was mostly about the history which I found really cool.

I put that back and picked up a green book. I open it and the first thing I see shocks me.

He used to be a song writer, wow. Should I read on?

"What you reading?"

I gasp and turn around to see Luke. "N-nothing"

He grabs the book and skims through the pages "Whoa my dad used to write songs. That's wicked"

I was slightly panicking "Luke shouldn't we put it back I mean it's not ours to look at"

He smirks "well he doesn't have to know"

He walks back to where he was sitting and I sit next to him.

"Hey this looks cool" Luke says pointing to a song which was called 'The Only Reason'

"Don't talk, let me think it over, tell me how to fix this. Tell me how to undo all the pain" I read out loud. "That's really good"

Luke pouts "he didn't finish it"

I kiss his pouted lips "aww is someone sad"

Luke shakes his head "no I'm just confused. Why didn't he finish the song?"

I shrug my shoulders. He pulls out something from the back of the book. "Luke put it back" I gasp.

"Shhh". He opens it up and I see his eyebrows burrow in confusion.

"What is it?" I ask him. He doesn't reply. "Tell me!"

I take the piece of paper off him and look at it. It was a birth certificate I think. But the name confused me.

Liz Hemmings

I look at Luke "who's Liz"

He shrugs his shoulders "maybe we should find out"

We walk out of the library and we see Calum, Ashton and Sandra in the kitchen.

"Hey can we talk to you" Luke asks.

"We found this" I say placing the birth certificate on the kitchen island. "Who's Liz?"

I look at the three to see their eyes wide, like there in shock or something. Do they know something and haven't told Luke?

Sandra coughs awkwardly before saying "it's me, I'm Liz Hemmings"
