Chapter 38 - I can't (5th year)

Erika's POV
Something happen to Belle at night. And it's very late.
EXO, Dad, and I couldn't sleep, worrying about Belle too much.

Dad called a doctor to check up on her. And it's been a few minutes.
Dad has been pacing back and forth, while I was sitting down, resting my hand on the table, thinking.

Why does this have to happen? I thought.

Over the summer, she's been having nightmares, screaming out of fear and what makes me worry is that...she looks pale.

Finally, the doctor came out of the room. We all stood up and Dad walked up to him.
"How's my daughter?" he asked.

The doctor sighed.

"She's fine. She's just afraid of something about...Cedric Diggory being killed and then getting tortured. That's what she was mumbling about." he replied.

My eyes widen at that.

"You mean...." I trailed off.

"Yes, she has a new fear. She's scared of the Cruciatus Curse." the Doctor said.

We were shocked about that.

"It's going to take awhile for her to recover, Mr. Lee. Your daughter will be fine." he said.
Dad nodded and escort the doctor.

"Let's go see her." Kris Oppa said.
We nodded and walked in there.

Belle sat on her bed, looking at the window.
She turned to us, seeing her dark circles under her eyes.

"Hey." she said.

I walked up to her and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Gwaenchanh-a?" Kai Oppa asked.

Belle nodded. "Ne."

I gently pat on Belle's hands.
"You sure? You got us worried all summer."

"I'm fine, really." Belle said.

We sighed out of relief.

"That's good. We still have a wand duel to deal with." I said.
"W-Wand?" Belle uttered.

I looked at her weird.

"Yeah, remember...you said we'll have a duel together." I said.
Belle sort of tensed at that.

"You okay, Belle?" Kai Oppa asked again.
Belle nodded.

Kai was curious, so he took Belle's wand from the night stand.
"Hold your wand." he said.

"What?" Belle asked.
"Hold your wand. Like you used to." he replied.

We all looked at Belle, as Kai Oppa was holding the wand.

Belle hesitated to take it, but her hands was shaking.
She gave up.

"I can't." she said.
Kai Oppa sighed and set her wand back down.

"Kai, what's this about?" Chanyeol asked.
"For what I see...she's afraid of it." Kai replied.

"What's that suppose to mean?" Tao asked.

We all glanced at Belle again, who is shaking a little.
"Belle...don't tell me you're not scared of your wand." I said.

Belle shivered. "I am! I'm afraid for what he did to me!"

We let her continue.

"I...just can't! All these nightmares. Seeing Cedric die in front of me! I just can't! Voldemort did the Cruciatus Curse on me. And now...I can't even touch my wand! I'm scared!" she exclaimed and then ended up crying.

I brought her into an embrace.

"Shhh....we'll think of something. Something for you to recover, arasso." I said.
Belle cried and nodded.

"I'm so scared." she cried.

I patted her on the back and let her cry.
"I think we should go, Erika. Looks like Belle needs you right now." Suho said.

"Thanks, Oppa." I said.
He nodded and EXO left the room. It's only Belle and me now.


"Unnie, I'm scared! All the nightmares I'm having." she cried.
"Shh....Unnie's here. Okay, just let it all out, araji. Let it all out." I comfort her.

Belle cried on my shoulder as I rock her back and forth.
After an hour later...she went back to sleep. Just by looking at my sister, I felt like to protect her more.

I couldn't bare watching Belle acting like this. At all.
