Chapter 92 - Quidditch Tryouts

Isabelle's POV
It's Tryouts today. I hope no one's going to ruin my mood.
I met Ginny at the field as Harry landed with his broom. He got off and stood in front of us, making an announcement, since he's the Captain. And I'm still the Co-Captain.

And...Erika's joining Quidditch this year! Yay! The Lee Twins are in the same team!
Everyone was chatting while Ron and Erika stood there, patiently.

"All right, um...okay. So this morning, I'm gonna be putting you all through a few drills just to assess your strengths. Quiet! Please!" Harry instructed but none of them listened.
Ginny was right beside me.

I couldn't stand the chattering so I burst out of anger.

"SHUT IT OR YOU WANT TO GET FROZEN!" Harry and Ginny looked at me, surprised.
That made everyone shut up.

"Thanks, Belle." Harry thanked me.
I nodded and let Harry continue.

"All right. Um...now then, just because you made the team last year...does not guarantee you a spot this year. Is that clear?" Said Harry.

No one said anything.

"Good."

"All right, everyone! Good Luck!" I said. But the thing is....Cormac was staring at me. Smirking.
I glared at him and went with Harry. But why is Cormac staring at me?

Ron's POV
I looked at the bleachers and saw Hermione. She waved.

"No hard feelings, Weasley, all right?" Said Cormac.
"Hard feelings?" I said.
"Yeah, I'll be going out for Keeper as well. It's nothing personal." He said.

"Really? Strapping guy like you? You've got more of a Beater's build, don't you think? Keepers need to be quick, agile." I said.

Cormac caught a fly right in front of me.

"Oh, I like my chances. Say, think you could introduce me to you friend Granger? Or Belle Lee? Wouldn't mind getting in a first-basis, know what I mean?" He said as he walked away.
I looked at Hermione again, hoping that she wouldn't go for Cormac.

"That spoiled brat." I turned around and saw Erika.
"You heard?" I asked.

Erika sighed and nodded.

"He's more than worse than Malfoy." she said.
"Yeah, I agree." I said.

"So, you're going for keeper, huh?" she asked.
"Yeah, I hope I get the position. What about you?" I replied.
"Chaser." Erika said.

"Well, good luck." I said.
"You too."

"All right everyone, into your places!" Belle instructed.

Isabelle's POV
I got on my broom and suddenly I saw Draco, sitting on the bleachers. Staring at me.
I ignored it and Harry threw the quaffle.

Ginny got it and flew. Dean has blocked my way.
But that's the old trick. I smirked and went under him. Ginny saw me and tossed me the quaffle.
I caught it and went to Cormac's goal.

He was giving me the smirk.

I scoffed and I threw the quaffle at the goal and of course, he blocked it.

The quaffle went to Erika and went to the other side. Where Ron was.

Erika threw the quaffle and Ron blocked it.
"Nice one, Ron!" she shouted.

Ron gave her a thumbs up. I had to smile at that.

One after another, Cormac blocked 4 quaffles.

Now it was Ron's turn.
Erika had the quaffled. Dean and Seamus were after her.
She dodged those to boys, making them crash into each other.

Then she threw it to Ron's goal. He blocked it.

Hey! He's pretty good.

Then I had the quaffle, I flew to Cormac's goal. Again, sending me a flirty look.
I smirked and I threw it.

He was about to blocked it, until his broom went to the wrong direction.

Confundus Charm? Hermione? I thought.

~Later~
Tryouts was over and Harry and I are discussing about it more.
"So, who do you think did great today?" Harry asked.
"Well....for chaser. Ginny did great as always. And as for Erika, she did good. So Erika's in." I replied.

Harry smiled at that.
"I never thought she would be good."

I giggled.
"Well, Quidditch is in our blood." I said.
"What about the Keeper Position?" he asked.

"Well, we have Cormac and Ron." I replied.
Harry sighed and crossed his arms.

"Cormac was a bit of show off today. But I think Ron deserves the position, Cormac can be the replacement." I said.
"Good idea. Then Seamus will be your replacement then." Harry said.

I nodded. "Sounds good."
