Chapter 45 - Riding with Malfoy?!

Erika's POV
We went to the carriages, but the carriage was already full. Cho smiled at us, but then the carriage moved.

We missed it. Oh well, guess we'll wait for another one. I thought.

Neville came up to us.
"Hi, guys." he greeted.
"Hey, Neville." We all said.
We waited for the carriage to come back, but then Harry turned around.

"What's that?" he asked.
"What's what?" Asked Ron.
"That. Pulling the carriage." Replied Harry and Belle.
"Nothing's pulling the carriage, Harry and Belle." Said Hermione.
"It's pulling itself, like always." I said.

Belle walked up to it and looked.
"Strange." she mumbled.

Harry walked ahead and was still looking at it.
You're not going mad. I can see them too. You're just as sane as I am." She said.

"Luna?" I asked.
She turned to me and smiled.

"Hi, Erika." she said.

We climbed up the carriage but there's no more room for Belle.
"Belle---" she cut me off.

"It's alright, I can wait for the next carriage." she said.
"But----" again she cut me off.

"It's fine. Unnie." she said.

I sighed.

Then Hermione started to introduce Luna.

"Everyone this is Loony Lov---" Belle and I cleared our throat.
"Luna Lovegood." Hermione said.

It was getting a little awkward.

"What an interesting necklace." I said, changing the subject.
"It's a charm, actually. Keeps away the nargles." She said.

I slowly nodded.

"Hungry...I hope there's pudding." Luna said.

Then Belle cleared her throat.

"So, I'll see you at the castle then." she said.
"Belle." I started.

"I'll be fine, I promise." she said.

Hermione patted on my shoulder and looked at Belle.
"We'll see you later." she said.

Belle nodded and the carriage started to move.

Belle waved as the distance.

"What's a nargle?" Ron whispered.
"No idea." Hermione whispered back.

Isabelle's POV
As the carriage drove away, guess who dropped by.
"Oh, look. It's Belle." Goyle said.

I rolled my eyes at that.

"What's a beautiful girl like you standing here in the dark?" Goyle asked, as Crabbe chuckled.
Behind him, was Draco Malfoy.

I sighed and glared at him.

"Look, I'm not in the mood." I sneered.
Goyle was about to walk up to me, but then....

"Did you hear her? She's not in the mood."

We all turned to the voice.

"Who the hell are you?" Crabbe asked, glaring.
"Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Lukas Jackson. Starting my 4th year here." Lucas replied.
"So." Goyle said, not caring.

Lukas smirked. "I don't even care about you either."

I sighed as another carriage came by.

I was about climb up, but then a hand was in front of me.
"Let me help." Draco offered.

I hesitated at first, but on second thought. I took his hand and climbed up.
"Come on, guys." Draco said.

I sat on the far end, followed by Draco and Lucas.
Crabbe and Goyle sat on the other side.

"Where's Blaise?" Crabbe asked.
"He went ahead, remember." Draco replied.

As the carriage moved. Everything was quiet.

"Thanks." I whispered to Lukas.
"You're welcome, Belle." he whispered back.

"How did you---" I got cut off.
"You're Isabelle Lee. Erika's Twin. Everyone knows you two apparently." he said.

I nodded, understanding him.
All of a sudden, I felt something warm on my hands.

"Never thought, Belle had soft hands."

It was Goyle.

I jerked my hand back and sort of got scared.
"Oh, aren't you pretty."

Then something was around my shoulder and brought me closer to it.
"Goyle, stop it will ya?" Draco asked, glaring at him.

Goyle smirked at me and sat back.
I want get away from Draco, but he held me closer to him.

"Stay still. or else. He'll bother you again." he whispered into my ear. Only for me to hear.

I gulped and nodded.

I should've gone with Erika and the others. But why am I feeling safe around Draco, feeling protected around him?
