TRIGGER WARNING

Chandler's POV
It was Saturday night, and Andy let my friends stay again. We were all sitting in my room, playing truth or dare.

It was fun, but everyone kept looking at me like a bomb that was gonna explode at any moment. I guess it's because of my dad getting out, but I'm not worried or surprised about it. Apparently the cops here suck, because people escape out of jail around here at least once a month.

I'm not scared either, I'm tired of being scared. If he wants to kill me that's okay. When you've been through so much fear and pain in your life, it doesn't hurt anymore.

And you're not scared anymore.

I'm not scared.

At least that's what I keep telling myself.

"Chandler, truth or dare." Asher brought me out of my thoughts. "U-um truth." I answered. "Oh, come on! You always choose truth!" Laura says laughing.

"Okay ummm, why do you always wear a black hoodie? And do you even wear a shirt under it?" Ava asks, laughing. Hmm, I don't really know why I always wear this hoodie. And obviously!

It has no special meaning or anything, it was a hand-me-down from my older cousin. "I don't know, I like it. And of course I wear a shirt under it, what kinda question is that?" I ask, smiling. "First thing that popped in my head. Your turn." Ava shrugged.

"Okay, Parker. Truth or dare?" I asked. "I usual pick dare, but this time I'll go with truth." He said.

"Okay, ummmmm. . .What's your favorite color?" I ask. "Okay, first of all, that's the dumbest truth or dare question I've ever been asked, and second of all black." Parker said.

We played truth or dare for a while, but then got bored and Andy suggested we all watch a movie downstairs.

Payton picked the movie, and it was a horror movie called 'Final Destination'. I wasn't too sure about this.

"H-hey Andy, don't you think a horror movie is a little scary for an eight year old?" I whispered to Andy who was in the kitchen making popcorn.

"Any other eight year old maybe, but not Payton. She's as tough as nails." Andy said laughing.

"You're not scared to watch a horror movie, are you?" Andy asked me. I didn't want to lie to him. But I also didn't want an eight year old girl to seem braver than me.

"What? N-no, of course not." I said nervously and went back to the living room. This is gonna be fun.

{30 minutes later}

Halfway through the movie, I was getting pretty scared. But I would never tell anyone else that.

Although, they probably already knew I was a wimp because I visibly flinched every time there was a jump scare.

Suddenly, Laura grabbed my hand. I looked at her, Her chocolate brown eyes stared into my blue ones. (cRiNgE)

"You okay?" She asked, smiling slightly. "Y-yeah why?" I said nervously. "You keep jumping, and your eyes are really wide. First scary movie?" She asked.

"N-no not exactly. I saw nightmare before Christmas." I answered. Something I said must've been funny, because she was laughing quietly. "What? What's so funny?" I whispered.

"Baby, that's not a scary movie. It comes on Disney channel." She said smiling. Well I feel stupid.

I felt my face heat up. "O-oh." I said quietly. "Don't worry, we only have like 45 more minutes in this movie." She whispered. This sure is gonna be a long 45 minutes.
