"Then does that mean..we still have hope Jinyoung?", Jisoo asked, eyes gleaming with hope.
And Jinyoung's breath hitched. He then swallowed.
"I don't know..but I'd like to believe there is.", he said, looking away. But deep down Jinyoung didn't want to get his hopes up, so he wasn't really expecting anything. And Jisoo seemed disappointed at his answer, she sighed as she looked away.
After the two hour drive, they finally arrived in front of an old looking house.
Jisoo and Jinyoung got out of the car, looking around.
"Are you sure this is the right address? It seems empty.", Jisoo said and Jinyoung looked down at his phone then glanced back up at the house infront of them.
"Yes. This is the correct address.", Jinyoung said, he then walked towards the doorbell and pressed it. Jisoo then stood beside him. He pressed it again but there was no answer until a young beautiful girl in her teenage years came out, it seemed like she was a highschool senior.
"Yes?", the girl asked, and she seemed cold.
"Hi..", Jisoo greeted politely, "We're here to see Ahn Hyunsuk, is this his home?", Jisoo asked, and the girl seemed hesitant.
"What do you want from him?", the girl asked.
"Nothing, we just want to ask a few questions.", Jinyoung said and Jisoo nodded, and the girl sighed as she opened the gate.
"So I see this is Ahn Hyunsuk's home, thank you, also I didn't catch your name..", Jisoo trailed, looking at the girl.
"Ahn Haejin, you can call me Haejin.", she said, swallowing as she led them in, "Dad might be a bit cranky at times, he rarely gets visitors, you're one of the first ones in years.", Haejin said.
"Is it just the two of you?", Jinyoung asked cautiously.
"Yes. Mum died 7 years ago in a car accident, and dad has been paralyzed ever since.", she said, and there was a hint of sadness in her voice, Jisoo then scanned the place, it seemed dull.
Haejin then opened a door to a room, and the room had a bed, and a side table, and a closet at the corner, there was a big window, and a man in a wheelchair was by the window, zoning out.
"Dad..", Haejin said cautiously, "Someone wants to see you..", Haejin had said, and her dad turned to face them with a sullen look on his face.
"Who are you?", he asked as he looked at both Jinyoung and Jisoo.
"I'm Jinyoung..and this is Jisoo.", Jinyoung introduced both of them as they bowed.
"I'll leave you to it, I'll be outside if you need anything.", Haejin said and Jisoo thanked her.
"What do you both want from me?", the old man asked, after Haejin left.
"Actually, we're here to ask a few questions.", Jinyoung said.
"Yes. Mr Ahn Hyunsuk..have you by any chance worked for Kim's Group or Park's Empire 7 years ago?", Jisoo asked cautiously. And the colour drained from the old man's face.
