Chapter 17

Katie's POV

I couldnt do it. I ran away from Melissa and tried to play it off. What if someone saw us? What if they had taken our picture? I saw that she had a disappointed look, but she went along with it. This time we went back to Melissa's house and took a shower to get the saltwater off of us. I felt bad for what I had done, but I was just so nervous around her.

Melissa was in the kitchen with her hair damp from the shower and pulled out a water bottle from the fridge.

"Want one?" She smiled. "You have to keep hydrated."

I took one from her and sat down on the couch. I felt that I needed to apologize, but what then? Would it be awkward between us again after almost kissing? Would she distance herself again? Would she try going to Chris again? I was so focused on my thinking that I hadn't realized that Melissa had sat next to me and had a hand on my thigh.

"Hey, you ok?" She asked with concern in her eyes.

"Yeah, I'm fine" I say hastily coming out of my stupor. I shifted in my seat and looked at the hand on my thigh. Her thumb gently caressed it and I closed my eyes momentarily in bliss. "Melissa?"

"Hmm?"

"I'm sorry. For what happened at the beach. I just freaked out and everything that's been going on has thrown me off and-" my rambling was cut off by a squeeze.

"Katie, it's fine. You have nothing to worry about ok? It wont happen again" she said the last part in a lower voice and hand started to leave me. No!

"Its not that I didnt want to. I just didnt want people to see and cause a huge thing" I muttered. As I've said before, I dont consider myself too famous, and I try to stay humble about it. I dont need paparazzi to get in my way. Hence why I dont have social media either.

Melissa pulled me to her and cuddled me into her chest. I hadn't realized that she was leaning against the armrest and I was pretty much on top of her.

"I get it. Nothing flashy. Right now I just want to hold you" she said honestly. I was surprised at this and wrapped my arms around her.

It felt good to be held this way. Like I was loved and cared for as a regular person. Not some fan that wanted to hug Lena Luthor, but someone holding me as Katie McGrath. I watched TV with Melissa for a while that way. Our embrace wasnt quite friendly, but it wasnt very intimate either. After a while I went to shift and looked up at Melissa's face. She was completely knocked out with her head slightly leaned back against the couch and her mouth a little open.

I smiled at her sleeping form and kissed her cheek. I slowly and carefully got up to get into my pajamas and went to wake up Melissa. When I got out of my bathroom after brushing my teeth she was face first on my bed in her T-shirt and boyshorts. I blushed and chuckled at her. I went to my usual side of the bed and laid down. I knew she was already asleep, but I rubbed her back and played with a few strands of hair anyway. Melissa shifted in her sleep and put on arm around my waist, pinning me down. I shook my head at her and dragged my nails softly across the arm that was now over me. She flexed and squeezed me a little.

I wished that the moment wouldn't end and closed my eyes with an arm on my pillow around my head. I hadn't realized that this would lift my shirt and Melissa's arm and hand now touched my bare skin. I shivered a little and willed myself to sleep. Tomorrow will be interesting on Supergirl. What will the new script be?

Melissa's POV

When I woke up to get ready for Supergirl my arm was tightly around Katie's waist and my head was about chest level. I looked up to see her fast asleep with an arm up over her head. I thought that she was the most beautiful thing ever. I snuggled up into her for a few minutes before getting up to get ready. I already had a change of clothes with me because I usually carry one when I'm with Katie. It always usually ended in a sleep over.

Once I was done I decided to wake up Katie and ask if she wanted to carpool today.

"Katie. Katie, it's time to get up" I gently shake her and she stretches a little and blinks her eyes open.

"What time is it?" She mumbles sleepily.

"6:30" She sits up abruptly and jumps out of bed.

"We have to be there at 7!" She runs into her closet to pull something on and I laugh.

"Well, they cant start unless I'm there, so dont worry so much. We can carpool" I call as I walk out of her room to give her privacy.

"Being on time is the responsible thing to do Ms. Danvers" she yells back. I loved when she had her Lena moments. Why, I wasnt sure. I roll my eyes and giggle when she stumbles by me to get a shoe on.

"We should do a behind the scenes short film about Lena Luthor. It would be hilarious" I smile. She scowls at me and urges me to the car.

When we get to the studio they announce that we would be traveling again.

"We are going to film in Vancouver again, but we're going to be there for quite a while. I would pack as much as you can and prepare for a move. We're going to leave in about a month to give you some time to prepare" they announce.

I was ecstatic! I loved filming in Vancouver due to it's beautiful scenery and they had good food! Plus I thought about spending some time with Katie. Having a different setting would let me show her around. I looked over to Katie and she had a wide grin.

"Also! Due to the budget you will all be placed with housemates and will have to pick room mates. The women will be in one house, while the men are in another. The only exception will be if you are the spouse of another cast member. In which case will be settled differently. See you all in a month!"

"Yay! I get to hang out with my girlfriends!" Chyler squeals. She runs to hug Katie and Katie nearly stumbled back. I see Chy whisper something in Katie's ear and she blushes.

"Chyler!" She gasps.

"What! Its true!"

"What's true?" I ask curiously. Katie looks like shes going to faint and I nearly reach out to steady her.

"I think that you two should share a room since you already share a bed. Wont that be easier? Plus that leaves an extra bed in case someone gets their panties in a twist with their roommate. You know what happens to women when the live together. Friends or no friends we'll all sync together for our periods and all hell will break loose" Chyler reasons.

"I dont mind it if Katie's ok with it" I shrug. I seem really calm, but on the inside I'm dying. I get to share a room with Katie?? For god knows how long?! Now I'm the one ready to faint.

"I guess I'm ok with it. Chyler snores and I'm sure Floriana would want to share with you anyway. Plus it's good for your characters" Katie winks. Chyler blushes and playfully smacks her arm.

"Sounds good to me. Odette and Jenna are going to bunk together then" Floriana said walking up to us.

"Aww how cute. I never thought about Sam and Lucy" Chyler gushes.

"Hey! I thought Sanvers was better? Sam and Lucy arent even a thing" Floriana winked. Chyler was quiet then with a deeper blush.

Chyler may be married, but I'm totally feeling the chemistry from Alex and Maggie right now....

I looked to Katie as she smiled and I wrapped an arm around her neck to pull her in. I kissed her temple, which she froze, and waved them all good bye.

"I totally am shipping Supercorp!" I hear Chyler yell behind me.

I smile to myself and begin to plan what I would do when we get to Vancouver.
