Chapter 5

Deanna.

Wtf?  May iba na syang baby?

I followed her up to the playground area.  She's looking around kaya hindi nya pa rin ako napansin.  Hinahanap nya na siguro yung "baby" nya.

I walk towards her when she suddenly turned around.  Our eyes met.

I felt like the earth stopped moving.  We just stare at each other.  Walang kumukurap sa amin.  Walang gustong magbaba o mag iba ng tingin. 

Bigla akong ngumiti sa kanya pero sya parang nag aalangan.  Kumunot yung noo nya then she touched her head.  Para syang matutumba.

I'm glad my reflexes are quick kung hindi, baka nasa sahig na si Jema.  I caught her in time.  Nawalan sya ng malay.

Naks, lahat talaga nafa-fall sakin.

I don't know what to do.  Nasaan na ba yung guard dito sa mall.  Some people are looking at us.

"Ah, Miss.  Where's the nearest exit?  Nahilo kasi itong kaibigan ko." I asked the lady who came to check on Jema.

"They have a clinic at the mall.  You can take her there.  It's just on the right side, three turns from here." she answered while pointing at the direction she mentioned.

"Great.  Thank you." I briefly said and I carried Jema.  Whew, buti na lang I keep myself fit kundi baka hindi ko mabuhat si love. 

Love?  Alam ba nya na love mo sya?

After awhile, nakita ko na rin yung clinic and tinulungan ako nung girl na nasa loob para mailapag si Jema dun sa small bed.

"Ano po ang nangyari sa kanya ma'am?" tanong nya.

"Ah ah, she just collapsed.  Buti nasalo ko kundi natumba yang tuluyan sa sahig." sagot ko.

"Do you know if she's on medication po?" she asked.

I shook my head and explained to her what happened.  Kaya ayun kumuha sya ng cotton at nilagyan nya ng konting ammonia at pinaamoy ito kay Jema.

Biglang napaubo si Jema when she inhaled it.  She opened her eyes and looked around slowly.  Napahawak na naman sya sa kanyang ulo.

"Why I am here?  Anong nangyari?" nagtatakang tanong nya.

"You collapsed earlier, kaya dinala kita dito." I quickly answered.

She looked at me again.  How come she seemed like she doesn't know me?  Yung tingin nya parang nagtataka bakit magkasama kami.

"Okay, thank you.  But I need to go, I have to pick my baby." sabi pa nya at tumayo sya pero napaupo uli at hinawakan uli ang ulo.

There's something wrong with her.  What is it?  I'm starting to panic.

"Can I have some water please." sabi nya dun sa babae.

"Sorry ma'am pero wala po kaming potable water dito." sagot agad nya.

"Wait here." dali daling sabi ko at lumabas agad ng clinic.

I looked around for a while then I saw yung food stall so I bought bottled water and hurried back to the room.

I handed her the water.

"Thank you, Miss." she said and may isinubo syang pill bago uminom ng tubig.

I'm wondering why she called me "Miss" but I just let it go.  Okay na ako sa ngayon basta nakikita at nakakausap ko sya.

I looked at her face.  She's more beautiful than the last time I saw her.  Humaba na rin ang buhok nya na bumagay din sa kanya.

I modestly checked her out.  Hmmn,  sexy pa rin.  Ang sarap yakapin at halikan.  Bigla na namang uminit sa paligid kahit may air-con sa room.
