Chapter 49

Jema.

"Ah Love, this is Katrina." Deanna said.

The girl wanted to shake my hand but I  didn't have the energy to take it.

Bakit ba kasi?

Parang kilala ko sya.

"This is Jema, my fiancee." Deanna added while putting her arm on my shoulder.  She slightly pinched it.

Natauhan akong bigla kaya inabot ko agad ang kamay nya, baka isipin nito napaka rude ko naman.

"Hello, nice to meet you, Katrina.  You look familiar." I said to her.

Tahimik lang si Deanna sa tabi ko. Parang tulala pa habang nakatingin kay Katrina.

"Nice meeting you too, Jema.  Please call me Kat.  And yes, I look familiar because of my sister.  We have this uncanny resemblance, that's why people always mistook us as twins." she replied.

"Sister?" I asked.

"You must be wondering who am I, right?  Well, I'm Elaine's sister, younger sister.  Im sure you knew her and what happened to her.  Deanna and Elaine both mentioned you before, that’s why I'm soooo intrigued to meet you." she replied.

Ohhh, yes.  Elaine.  That's the name.

Kunwari ka pa na hindi mo maalala?

Alam ko.  I know that because she looks like Elaine, but I just want to confirm it.  Mahirap mag assume kaya.

Para ngang bumalik si Elaine sa katauhan nya.  Pero magkaiba sila ng boses, yun lang pinagkaiba nila. 

The rest, same talaga.  Both pretty, tall, slim figure,  long hair and fair complexion.

Hindi kaya nalilito si Deanna before, to distinguish which is which pag magkakasama sila?  Parang kambal talaga kase.

After a while, naka recover naman na ako sa pagkabigla.

"I didn't know Elaine have a sister.  I mean, we didn't really know each other that well naman.  But, nice to meet you, Kat." I replied.

She smiled at me then kay Deanna.

"How long are you gonna stay here?
I can tour you around, with Deanna of course.  And to answer your question Deans, I'm back in Cali for good." she said.

Okay, back to Cali sya.  From where kaya?  Hay, pati ako napapatanong na tuloy.

"A month maybe, it depends. I have my daughter, Chelsea, with me so I may not be able to go out that much." I responded while pointing at Chelsea whose eating marshmallows already with Dean.

"Oh Chelsea, your daughter?  I didn't know you got married, I'm confused. Deanna said you two are engaged. How come?  So sorry for being nosy." she said while laughing.

Aba natural hindi mo alam yung buhay ko at ang tungkol kay Chelsea, close ba tayo? 

Confused pa daw, huh.

Sapakin ko kaya ito. English ng English, chismosa din naman.

Bakit ang init ng dugo ko sa kanya?  Wala naman syang ginagawang masama?  Kutob?

"Ah, it's a long story Kat.  If you'll excuse us." sabi ni Wong sabay inilayo na ako sa babaeng iyun.

Bakit ba kasi ipinakilala pa ako doon eh.

“You okay, Love?" tanong ni Deanna.

"OO naman,  pwede next time sabihan mo naman ako in advance kung may ipapakilala ka sa akin. Feeling ko halos lahat sila gustong malaman ang buong buhay ko. Para prepared ako. You didn’t mention about her kaya nabigla ako.  But I understand, wala nga naman akong kilala ni isa sa side mo. Ngayon lang." mahabang sagot ko.
