(Y/N)'s POV

'It all became so lovely

Those bluest skies above me

Those funny feelings I had never felt before I met you

I thought I'd stay a while

I tried to learn to smile

So many colors I had never even known'

It has been two months since I saved from the wrath of Frieza. I have been a prisoner to him ever since I could remember, I was glad to be finally free from him, it's all thanks to Goku and his friends.

They helped me escape Frieza and now I live with Bulma and her family at Capsule Corp. Since I came here I mainly kept to myself, I never trusted anyone because of Frieza. I never smiled, or laughed, I'm the same person I used to be, I feel so alone right now...

'Maybe I'll find myself sitting on that distant shore

Maybe I'm not alone'

Today we were at the Kame House, apparently Bulma wanted to throw a party just for fun and everyone was there smiling and talking, having a great time...everyone but me. I was leaning against the house away from everyone staring out at the ocean. As I was staring out I didn't notice a presence beside me,

"Hey (Y/N), do you want anything to eat?" I turned my head and saw that it was Goku with a smile on his face. I looked back towards the shore,

"I'm fine Goku." He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck,

"You know I'm worried about you (Y/N)."

'Then I see the colors fading

Gentleness of light escaping

Shadows of my fear invading

Have I seen this all before?'

As I was looking towards the water, I started to have flashbacks of my days as a prisoner to Frieza. Everything was dark, there were prison bars all around me...I couldn't escape, then I saw him, The Galactic Emperor Frieza smirking down at me with malice in his eyes. I tried to get away from him but I kept bumping into the prison bars, he would come closer to me and hold my chin in his hand,

" You are mine (Y/N)! And you are never leaving!" He then used a ki beam and cut my cheek making me flinch and cry.

' How I wish I could escape this nightmare.'

'I know that there's something residing

A terror deep inside me

I couldn't understand how you could be so bold'

I was snapped out of my nightmare by Goku screaming my name and shaking me by my shoulder,

"(Y/N)!!!!" I shook my head and looked at Goku, who had a worried look on his face,

"I-I'm sorry," I stepped away from Goku and rubbed my arms, " I-it was nothing." I was about to turn around but I felt Goku grab my arm softly and turn me towards him.

"(Y/N) I know you are suffering even though you are free." My eyes widened as I stared up at Goku,

"H-how?" He smiled tenderly at me,

"I can just tell (Y/N), but you don't have to be suffering anymore, I'm here for you."

I glared up at him, " You don't know what I've been through with Frieza Goku! I will never be ok!"

"I may not know what you have been through, but I have felt Frieza's wrath before which changed me." My glare diminished ,

"What do you mean?" Goku sighed and walked towards the beach and sat down on the sand, I was confused and I followed him and sat beside him.

"Frieza killed my best friend Krillin in front of me when we were on Planet Namek." My eyes widened and I looked back over at Krillin who was smiling with his wife, Android 18, and his daughter, Marron.

"H-how I-?

"How is he alive?" He looked over at me. I nodded as I stared back at him.

"We used the dragon balls to wish back everyone who was killed by Frieza." I stared down at the ground, I shouldn't have snapped at him like that, I didn't know he went through that.

"You know, even if you drift back to the past more, you would never get rid of it, you need to let go of it because you have people here that will help you through it (Y/N)." I then felt a kiss being placed on top of my head I looked up and saw that Goku was smiling down at me.

'Maybe I'll find myself smiling on that distant shore

Maybe I'm not alone'

I couldn't help but smile up at him, I leaned my head on his shoulder as we gazed out towards the ocean,

"Thank you Goku."
