Tapion x Reader Songfic

Yes another Tapion one, I'm sorry I just have so many ideas for him, anyway this is a Legend of Zelda songfic I was inspired by this song to write this.

(Y/N)'s POV

I knew this day would come....I couldn't do anything to stop it, it had to happen even if hurts.

'Fade away

In the gray

Of an unknown dream'

I smiled as I saw Tapion across from me. He looked so handsome in his hero suit. I've known him since we were kids, he was always there for me whenever I needed him, he was my hero. As we grew older I've grown really close to him, and developed feelings for him, but....I could never tell him.

'Where the sea

Swallows me

In the stream'

We always sat by the beach looking out towards the horizon. He would always tell me how he wanted to help people and be a hero to him. I always liked his goals, in my opinion he was already a hero. I would always smile whenever he said that,

"You will be a hero Tapion I just know it." He would smile and hugged me tight to him.

"Thank you (Y/N) for believing in me."

Thinking back on it now I always knew he would, he accomplished what he set out to be. And now....he has to go, and I'll fade away but it'll be ok, I've accepted it. Currently me and Tapion where gazing at the stars on the beach, just enjoying each others company.

"Tapion...." I said as I kept gazing up at the night sky.

"Yes (Y/N)?" He looked at me with a small smile on his face.

"I'm so proud of you." I turned my body to face him, he looked at me with a puzzled look.

"Why?"

"Because you're a hero silly." I giggled and lightly punched his arm. he laughed and rubbed his arm,

"Yea....thanks (Y/N)." I nodded and scooted closer to him, so close that our arm was an inch apart. he blushed but didn't say anything. Then my smile started to fade,

"I'll have to leave soon Tapion....." He looked at me,

"What do you mean?"

I swallowed the lump in my throat, "I mean that I'm going to disappear soon."

His expression changed from shocked to a look of disbelief,

"No...no that can't happen." He put his hands on my arms lightly, I shook my head.

"It has to be that way Tapion, my fate has been sealed."

'Let the light

"WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE THAT WAY?!?!" I placed my hands on his chest trying to calm him,

"It'll be ok Tapion." He shook his head, his whole body shaking as tears fell from his eyes.

".....What am I going to do without you?....." I hated seeing him like this so I pulled him into my arms and let him cry on my shoulder.

"Tapion it's going to be ok, I'll be watching over you lighting you on your path to your future, I'll always be here for you even when I'm not physically here." He sniffled and pulled away from me,

"But....."

'I can make

A new day'

"Tapion," I put my hands on his cheeks, "you have your destiny now, you need to go and be a hero for those who are helpless." He sighed and put his hands on mine,

"I...I can't without you (Y/N)."

"Yes you can Tapion." He pulled me into his arms tight, never letting go.

Yes, this dream will have to end tonight

".....What about our dreams (Y/N)?" I pulled away and smiled sweetly,

"They'll disappear as well Tapion, I know it's hard but it has to be that way." I had a small tear in my eye. Honestly I didn't want to give up our dreams, our dreams of exploring different worlds and fighting alongside each other, and when we settle down to have a family of our own but it wasn't meant to happen....

He shook his head, not believing what I said. "It can't be (Y/N), I wanted us to be together...."

"I know you did Tapion, but I know you'll do great away from home..." I placed my forehead on his closing my eyes, "I'll always be with you.....here." I pointed towards his heart,

"As long as I'm in your heart, you'll never be truly alone."

'Friend of mine

To say our last goodbyes'

We leaned in close to each other and our lips connected. It was like electricity flowing through our lips at contact. I placed my hands on his broad chest as his arms wrapped around my waist pulling me closer to him. ' At least I got to tell him my feelings...."

We pulled away from the blissful kiss, a smile smile adorning my face,

"This will be the last time we see each other again Tapion....."

"Please...stay..." I could feel myself fading away little by little.

'Hold my hand

Dearest friend

This dream dies'

I reached my hand out towards him,

"Hold my hand Tapion......one last time." He slowly placed his hand over mine and held it tight. He placed his forehead on mine closing his eyes.

"Don't leave me...."

"Goodbye.....hero." And with that my whole body faded into nothing. Tapion's eyes widened as he searched around for me.

"(Y/N)!!!!!!!!!!" He cried as he sunk to his knees crying into his hands.

"....I love you."

"I love you too Tapion."

You'll always be a hero to me, even when I'm not there I'll always be with you in spirit, now hero....it's time to go.....you'll be ok....I know you will, be the hero I know you can be.
