Indeed, she had been running nonstop ever since our little heroes finished their lunch and woke up from their nap.

The 'hawk' maid knew the identities of our little heroes, she knew of their innate capabilities, but her common sense caused her to think that she had a chance.

Each of the little heroes pursued one of them.

And she had Ilya as a pursuer.

Not only was she relentless, but her expressionless face always surprised the 'hawk' maid, given that she always appeared suddenly and out of nowhere while doing a spooky pose.

She would even hang upside down, like a bat, from a branch over the one where she was resting and surprise her that way.

Of course, that prompted the 'hawk' maid to run away once again.

She exclaimed through her teeth as she increased her speed and activated her scout skills [Silent Stalk] and [Presence Erasure].

Disappearing once more from our little hero's eyes.

She could not let herself be caught that easily once more.

And it was not for her pride as a knight or something like that, it was the simple and ironic embarrassment of her being caught that easily in the challenge she proposed.

Indeed, there was nothing elegant in that.

...she could not lose our little hero.

After all, even if she could not properly see nor hear the 'hawk' maid, she was still able 'see' the magic that surrounded her if she focused.

And our little hero, a sweet tooth, always fell on those 'traps' and thus restarting the cycle again.
