Night came fast for the inhabitants of the Castle of the Ever-Burning Will.

By this time tomorrow half of their forces would be on their way to the uncharted area, or even already there given the capabilities of their Master.

Those who were going knew that and so, most of them were already resting inside their rooms or about to do so.

Most of them, that is.

"[Opportunistic Acceleration]!"

For there were a couple of them that were still awake.

And they were even in the same place.

"[Tri-Stab]!"

Although the one still training didn't know about that.

"Ha...ha...ha...it is getting late..."

Said a tired Sylvie as she looked at the sky of the forest area while she wiped the sweat off her forehead and still held her dagger on that hand.

The sky in the forest area imitated perfectly the sky of Arte, down to the last star, a work only capable to be reproduced by the same Goddess who crafted the original sky.

As she watched said stars, the small conversation with her instructor as she left came to her mind.

"You coming, Sylvie?"

Asked Kris after finishing with their round of intensive training, by then even Max had already left and the sun was coming down.

"I-I think I will stay here and watch the sunset a bit more, instructor."

"Haha! The sunset is it? I see. Well, I'll tell Louise to leave your dinner in the enchanted container. It'll be still warm when you finish 'watching the sunset'. Heh."

It was obvious that Kris had figured out that she wanted to stay and train some more, but she didn't stop her.

She didn't ask her to not push herself or to rest early for tomorrow's travel.

Not at all.

She just put her dragon-cleaver sword on her shoulder, turned around and started walking off towards the teleportation gate.

"I-Instructor...!"

Still, Sylvie called out to her, wanting to apologize for trying to lie to her and maybe...ask her what she thought of her own strength.

But Kris stopped her from asking as she raised her free arm, showed a thumbs-up, and turned her head to the left, just enough so that Sylvie could see her confident smile.

"I'll tell you what I think after you come back."

"...!"

That surprised Sylvie, but it also made her happy and even more motivated.

Because, there was an implicit trust within those words.

Trust in her.

"Thank you!"

She exclaimed as her instructor, Kris, kept getting farther away and started waving goodbye at her.

"Just don't stay up too late."

And with that their small conversation ended.

After resting for a bit as the sun set, Sylvie started to do some image training, having innumerable matches with Kris, Max, Josie, Gail and even Maevis.
