Chapter 52: A volunteer solution for an impending misunderstanding?!

This day has been a good day.

Not minding the fact that I didn't get a mount.

Why you ask?

Well...not only did we get to see some nice maid battle scenes and Sylvie's shonen-esque trial, but we also met Ragna, an Arachne! A monster girl! One of the staples of isekai fantasy along with elves and magic!!

Using the power of the monster-girl section of my collection I was able to convince her to have supper with us! And she had a really good time! Well, she still is since she is eating dessert along with everyone else right now!

"Mil pudding...love!♢"

"Yummy. Yep."

"So...*clik*...good!"

Hear that? They are loving the dessert I made! Lyra is holding her plate upwards and expressing her love for it with sparkling eyes and spoon still in her mouth! Gail is cutely making a mind blown expression while nodding slowly and Ragna is holding her cheeks out of joy!

"Hm...? This caramel...? Wine?! It has wine?! Oooh!"

"Uwaaa! No fair! Evangeline got a special version!"

"Yes! I want to try it too!"

"But you can't Sylvie, you are a minor..."

Evangeline starts to wolf down on the dessert after realizing what was the secret ingredient used for the caramel that I poured on her serving and Maevis complains with a childish tone. Meanwhile Sylvie complains too with a childish, no wait, a normal tone for a teen but Kara tries to make her understand with a perfect reason. Said reason being that fifteen-year-old teenagers can leave their houses at that age, work and so on but they can't drink until they are eighteen. That is at least for the Kingdom's citizens.

"It is so simple of a dessert and yet this is quite novel. Master sure knows a lot of recipes. It's soft taste goes well with the tranquil scenery."

"Uug...so bitter...what is that powder that Master put on yours, Erica?"

"Master calls it 'coffee'. The tiramisu she made for the banquet also had it as an ingredient, it makes this quite tasty if you ask me."

"It does have a certain elegant taste to it... Alright! I too shall partake in this 'coffee' version of the dessert for the sake of elegance!"

"Ah! My head...I shouldn't have eaten my gelato so fast...but it was so delicious..."

Josie is calmly enjoying the dessert while enjoying the view of the lake from her seat while Patricia got her just desserts for stealing a spoon of Erica's special mil custard. No pun intended, heh. All despite I made a special version for her too. Sam meanwhile seems to have taken an interest to the elegance of coffee rather than the coffee itself...hmm, maybe I should have her try out the more elegant, read strong, type of coffees?

Fufufu~~you are so mean, dear. Sam will not be able to handle the bitterness of those.

I know but now I want to see how much she will be able to keep herself from losing her elegance with all that bitterness hehehe.

Oh, now that would be fun to watch.

Lastly, Max is resting her head beside her empty plate defeated by the all-powerful brain-freeze! She likes gelato like Patricia, so I made them both a Mil Custard Gelato!

"Ah, this is good."

Mine has chocolate by the way.

And mine has red fruits in it, I love it, dear.
