"And that choice, that selfishness...cost me everything..."

That is how the rough talking maid plunged herself into the most painful depths of her well of memories. All as the Absurd listened to her attentively, while never letting go of her hand lest she'd drown in such tortuous waters as she falls deeper into them.

Lest...she'd lose herself in the place she had been transported inside her mind. The armory of the Imperial Healing Academy, moments after making such choice, both her past self, her male self, and the one she only refers as 'idiot', the redheaded light of her heart back then, were getting everything they would need for such a mission.

'Stop. You are not going to use that equipment.'

Or at least, they were doing so before someone else stopped them. The person who had been personally training and teaching them for almost ten years, the Principal of the academy.

'Tch...I know you hate our guts and feeling's mutual but this ain't time for your crap, old man.'

'Rudy is right, baldy. Fatty Centurion said that we need to hurry with our preparations.'

Such disrespect to their superiors was something those two had become known for, but their actions and performance in both their classes and missions made it very difficult for them to be punished for it. Still, that didn't stop said principal from always getting angry at them for never referring to him with at least his last name.

But that cold and stormy afternoon wasn't one where he could give himself such a benefit, he swallowed the anger that had become usual for him and let it out in a single sigh.

'Haa...that is not what I'm referring to, you two. And please, do not call Centurion Frickas that when you are in his presence.'

'Yeah, yeah, we'll act like well-trained goods. And what are you referring to then, old man?'

'That equipment is for the academy and the field missions.'

'Hihihi, we know that, baldy. That is why we are taking it.'

'And that is why you can't take it, those missions are of certain a level, you could even say that they are curated for seniors of the academy like you to take them. So, the equipment is made with that purpose in mind.'

'Tch...get to the point, old man. We don't have all day.'

'The point is, you insufferable brat, that this emergency mission you two idiots took is not one of them. Thus, this equipment will surely be not enough to protect you correctly. That is why I had these made.'

The principal, trying very hard not to get angry again after supposedly releasing such anger before, threw at them two small cube shaped wooden boxes. 'Storage Boxes' as they are known throughout Arte, one of the few things that managed to survive from the loss of knowledge of the Ancient Age and was improved upon over the years. As their name imply, they are boxes enchanted with the space attribute to make them bigger than they seem, thus, making them able to hold items of various shapes and sizes. Although, there normally is a limit for how many things they can hold, unlike what a certain Absurd would have you believe. In the case of the boxes the principal threw at them, they only had enough space for a new set of orichalcum armored healer robes and orichalcum guardian armor, plus new orichalcum weapons for both of them and an assortment of the higher quality consumables a Healer and a Guardian would need in a battlefield.

'This is...!'

'Wooow...!

Everything was better than the equipment they were taking, even more when they noticed that the robes and the armor not only had both their names engraved on them, but they also had the crest that recognized them as a fully fledged pair of Healer and Guardian. That could be taken as a sign of the true image the principal had of them, and that surprised them, but said surprise didn't last too long before the skepticism of a certain someone.
