After such a classic response, Josie begins going down the bone stairs right in front of us while also summoning her blessed staff to her hand. The steps creak with every step she takes, and all the unmoving monstrosities turn their heads towards her. All at the same time.

Following her in her descent towards the stage from their seats.

Showing no intention to do anything else.

They simply watch.

Still, Bone Theatre...

Such an ominous name for such an ominous floor.

Everyone is looking around, taking in the lay of the land and so on while not moving too far from where I am.

Some things I forgot to mention before when describing it are that the place has an overall very gothic and creepy architecture, like it was made intentionally like this to put people on edge and make the intimidation factor of all these unmoving monsters even more potent. Not forgetting the eeriness of it all too. Then there is the fact that this place is not solely made out of bone. There is another material providing the red to the seats' cushions and it is what you can imagine.

Flesh and skin.

Flesh for the cushions.

Skin for the curtains and banners on the sides.

"Ugh..."

"Is everything alright, Sylvie?"

"Yes, Lady Auros... It is just the first impression this place gives...give me a minute and I will be alright. After all, I can't let something like this bother me if I want to accomplish my goal..."

Got to give it to her, other people would have just let out the rainbow from their mouth quite quickly or be terrified of this place. But she seems to be just slightly nauseated and even then, she does indeed look as if she is getting better rather quickly.

And the eyes with which she declared that last part really show me that she is steeling herself.

"Very well."

Thing that I acknowledge with that, a nod, and an approving smile.

"..."

I look at Evangeline who was watching this exchange and she simply turns away in silence. I guess that she was ready to help Sylvie out and tell her that if she felt like that then she should return to the surface.

Still, it is not as if I forgot my promise with Evangeline. These monsters, even if they look like pulled out straight from a horror game, I feel that Sylvie can still take them. Not all at once, of course, but she already dealt with two blinded that were in the tunnel and didn't get hurt.

Like...she has been improving more and more every time she fights, even if it is against a monster she hasn't seen before.

Evangeline was covering her in case another one popped out of nowhere but still, she beat two of them while the last one was beaten by Evangeline with ease.

And this version of them feels just slightly stronger. Which Evangeline seems to have noticed too, since she is not pressing the issue of Sylvie needing to leave.

They look very intimidating and creepy though, nothing will take that away. But you could say the same from imps riding giant frogs without an anime filter. Or a Blood Wolf for that matter.

So yeah, it is still not time for the choice for her. Where she either shows unhealthy arrogance or wise restraint.

Still, I'm not planning for her to fight alone.
