A lone Vortian scientist was looking at the readings on the cryogenic pod, making sure the body was stable before moving on to the next.

The room he was in was filled with multiple cryogenic pods, all full of a strange green liquid that kept the bodies they held alive. Attached to the outside of the pods, there was a small screen that said the readings, such as heartbeat, brain activity, and other strange readings. There was also a little description on each body, stating the name, gender, and age. There was also a PAK next to each pod, connected with a cable and connecting into their backs.

The PAKS were retrieving the memories and giving them to the clones, that way when they wake up, they won't remember dying. The PAKS weren't allowed inside the pods with the Irkens, so they have them connected to their backs from the outside with a cable.

The Vortian looked down at the readings on the next Irken suspended in the liquid.

His face turned into one of confusion after looking at the readings.

The brain activity was going off the charts.

Whoever was in this pod was probably about to become concsious in an hour or so.

He looked up at the Irken in the pod.

Suspended in the strange green liquid was a female Irken. Her antenna were long and curly, and she had light green skin. She was wearing a skin tight black and purple bodysuit. The Vortian couldn't see what her eye colour was, since her eyes were closed at the moment. She did have a small cable attached to the left side of her forehead and connected to what appeared to be a holographic disguiser at the back of her head.

The Vortian clicked a button on the screen, indicating that the Irken was going to wake up soon.

The Vortian finished up with his daily checks of the cloned Irkens and walked out of the room, making sure to shut the lights off as the sliding door closed behind him.

Hours passed and the readings on the female Irken's screen started flashing madly, a loud beeping noise sounding off, indicating something was wrong.

Unfortunately, no one was around to hear the warning sound.

The female Irken's bright purple eyes shot open as she gasped for air.

Looking around, she panicked, confused as to why she was in a cryogenic pod.

Panicking even more, she started banging against the glass, wanting to escape from the green liquid that had been keeping her alive for two months.

The glass started cracking as she banged harder.

Suddenly, the glass finally gave way, shattering open.

The female Irken fell to the floor as the green liquid exploded out from the cracks, sending a shower of broken glass all over the floor around her.

She gasped for air, raising her head and looking around.

She spotted the cable connected to her back and followed it up, spotting her PAK.

She closed her eyes and focused.

The cable retracted, her PAK getting pulled into place on her back.

Feeling the cold metal against her black, skin tight bodysuit, she sighs.

"What...happened? Where am I?" she asked herself in her British accent, looking down at her shaking hands.

She glanced up and looked around the room, seeing the other clones still in their cryopods.

Unfortunately, she didn't know they were clones.
