Captain (Hoseok)

You watched as Hoseok walked in front of you to his next class. You look at the golden J-Hope on the back of his letterman. He was captain of the baseball team. Not only was he good at sport but he was good in school. He wasn't the normal jock, no. He was bright, bubbly and energetic and just loveable. His nickname gave people hope in him.

You smile just thinking about him until that smile fades when you see him wrap his arm around June Kim. There was honestly nothing wrong with her. She wasn't rude or a mean girl but....you surely wished you were in your spot. You've liked Hoseok since nineth grade but never had the courage to tell him.

"Still day dreaming I see." You hear a voice and you turn around and see your friend Jimin walking up to you.

"No I'm not."

"Guess what you are." He says with a cheese and you hum.

"Caught in a lie" He laughs and you roll your eyes and he wraps his arm around your shoulder.

"Whatever. Anyways did you so Jin's homework?" you ask and he squint his eyes at you and you groan.

"Did you do Mr. Kim's homework?" you ask and he nods his head yes and you both enter the class room.

"I gotta keep reminding you it's not respectful to call a teacher by his first name. But yes I did it for once" Jimin says and you both set your stuff down and sit in your seats.

"Before class starts, wanna play cha-"

"How dare you!" a girl shouts and everyone turns their attention to Hoseok and June.

"June please quiet-"

"Don't you dare tell me to keep quiet! You care more about that stupid sport more than our relationship!"

"June it's just one d-" Hoseok was cut off when she slaps him.

"Don't ever talk to me again!" She says and storms out the class while Hoseok drops his head.

"Hey guys nothing to see go back to whatever you were doing before." You say and get up, ignoring Jimin's whispers to you.

You walk over to Hoseok, your heart racing and you tap his shoulder. He looks up at you with a sweet smile and you could see the hand sprint on his cheek.

" Hey (Y/N), having a good morning?" He asks politely and you shake your head no.

"H-Hoseok why are you acting all nice and your girlfrie-"

"Ex...girlfriend"

"Its okay, you don't have to worry about me." He says and you place your hand on his shoulder and it was a look of pain in his eyes and you took the initiative and hugged him.

As you hugged him you wrap your arms around his neck and bury you head in his neck. It took a moment but he hugged you but just as tight. You both didn't say anything and just stayed in the hug until you let go. You feel yourself get embarrassed and you head back to your seat and sit down.

"What was that?" Jimin asks and Mr. Kim walks into the room.

"Good morning everyone sorry I'm late!"

Ever since that day you and Hoseok have grown together. You started to go to his games and he started to talk to you more in class and in between class.

One day after school you were headed out the building when you see the baseball team getting on the bus. You shout good luck to Hoseok and he looks over at you and says something to his coach before jogging over to you and hugging you, slightly picking you up.

"Hobi you're gonna make your team late." you smile and look at him.

"We're early anyways. (Y/N/N) I just want to say thank you for everything." He says and you nod.

"Of course Hobi" You say and hug him again.

"J-Hope let's go" His coach says calmly and Hoseok gives him an okay sign before looking back at you.

"(Y/N) I need a quick yes or no answer to my question." He say and you hum for him to continue.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks and your heart stops.

"Y-yes!" you stutter and he smiles and places his hands on your cheeks and leans in and kisses you before kissing your forehead quietly saying thank you before jogging back to the bus as his team shouts and hypes him up.

You smile to yourself and wave a goodbye before heading home, mentally screaming to yourself about how happy you were.
