Mafia (Jungkook)

Pt. 2

As you laid in bed at the three o'clock hour you couldn't help but get that anxious feeling in the pit of your stomach. You stare at the ceiling feeling your stomach turn in knots.

You sit up and look at the empty space besides you. Lately Jungkook's job has been having him work both his regular shifts and late shifts. You were worried about him. You knew he didn't need too much stress on his body.

He was the breadwinner out of you two. He brought home stacks while you just worked as a regular salesperson in a popular store. You told him you would start to apply for another job but he always said that it was his job to provide.

You get out the bed and walk around the house aimlessly. You needed your mind to ease up. You had restless nights like these. Your anxiety can get the best of you and sometimes you just have to sit down and distract yourself.

You head to the living room and unfold a blanket that sat on the couch and cuddle into it and sit down. You turn the TV on and flip through the channels. You settle on a cartoon show and you slowly drift to sleep.

You wake up laying in the bed. You hum and check the time that reads 10am. You look over and see Jungkook standing in the bathroom brushing his teeth. You smile and feel your body relax.

"Good morning." You hear him say and you slowly sit up.

"Good morning"

"I found you cuddled on the couch early this morning. Anxiety?" He asks and you nod. He sighs and nods.

"Sorry" You say quietly and he shakes his head.

"I should be the one saying that. I'll call in and take tonight and tomorrow night off"

"No no, please don't." You say and he walks over to you and hugs you tightly.

"I will. I don't want you to suffer alone."

As you were both asleep, you hear Jungkook's phone go off. You wake up and hear Jungkook talking.

"You need me now? This can't wait?"

"A favor? It's two in the~fine fine." He sighs in annoyance before being silent.

"Okay, I'll be there in twenty minutes, wait for me." He says before hanging up.

Jungkook unwraps his arms from you slowly and sits up. You stay silent as thoughts start to fill your head. You hear Jungkook wrestle around in the closet. You turn over and before he leaves you say his name, causing him to stop.

"Why are you up?" Jungkook asks and walks back to your side and kneels down.

"Where are you going?"

"I need to take a quick step out. I promise to be back before you wake up. Don't worry."

"Who called you this early?"

"A friend, they need some assistance really quick." He says and you frown.

"Don't worry..I promise." He smiles and kisses your forehead before hastily leaving.

You sit up once he leaves and put your hoodie and sweats on. You usually trust him but the phone call and his urgency set you off a bit. You grab your car keys and follow him, making sure to leave distance so he didn't suspect anything.

You pull up to a large building like plant and park. You get out and pull your hoodie over your head and sneak around, seeing patrol.

Able to get inside and past the guards, your curiosity sparks as you hear Jungkook's voice. You creep to it, leading you to a room where Jungkook stood with two men beside him, one with curly black hair and the other with broad shoulders and longer black hair.

"Look, I didn't steal your money!" A man strapped in a chair yells and Jungkook chuckles and takes the gun the one with broad shoulders was carrying and cocks it before placing the barrel of the gun to his head.

"I swear I will blow your brains out! Tell me!" Jungkook shouts and you instantly knew what was going on here.

"Kill me and you won't know."

"Trust me, I have sources." Jungkook says before pulling the trigger. You couldn't help but give a small scream before quickly covering your mouth.

"What was that?" A deeper voice asked and as they start to look around you bolt back to your car, dodging guards.

You get in your car and speed back to your house, visibly shaking. Getting inside you start to quickly pack a bag. You didn't know your sweet Jungkook was a mafia boss. He was always too sweet and caring for that, or so you thought.

Losing track of time, you hear the door open as you zip your bags up. You quickly grab your bag and head to your car when you jump, seeing Jungkook standing right there.

"Where are you going? Why are your bags packed?" He asks and you shake your head as flashbacks play in your head.

"Baby you seem scared. Did something happen? Is your family alright? What's wrong you're not telling me anything."

"Leave me alone you murderer!" You cry out and he gives you a confused look.

"Murderer?" He asks and walks towards you and grabs you arm gently bdut you still jumo and let out a small yelp, thinking he was going to tighten his grip and pull you back to the room. He instantly retracts his hand and stares at you.

"You were there, weren't you?" He asks quietly and you nod.

"Why didn't you tell me?" You ask with a sniff and he stays quiet.

"Answer me! You-you can be killed Jungkook! You're so stupid! And I'm so stupid for believing you had nothing to hide and I was so naive!" You say as you hit his chest though he shows no react to it, and you weren't hitting him softly either as you could hear each blow.

"I'm sorry" He says quietly and you stop.

"You're not sorry...you've been doing this for a while now...so why would you be sorry if you grown accustomed to it?" You ask and grab your bags and walk past him to the door to the garage where your car stayed.

"Please don't leave me." He says with a shaky voice and you stop and the door, not even wanting to look at him.

"Give me some time to think...I'll come back with a definite answer." You say, wiping the tears that fell before leaving Jungkook alone in the house that night.
