There was a legend of the black swan. When you heard about it your instant thought was the animal. Oh no no no. The black swan was no bird but a man. A man who prowled the night in search of his next victim. He plays on fears as he knows every single person's fear. He comes in seven days. The only way to survive his games are to conquer your fears. Easier said than done. You sad sad little thing. You didn't believe in it though. You thought this was a simple story told to scare you into not being afraid of anything.  A simple mistake.

As you were walking to your room you spot a tiny spider on the wall. You feel your skin crawl as you watch it slowly walk up the wall. You cringe as you look around before taking your shoe off and killing the arachnid on the wall. You let out a gag and continue your walk into your room. You had quite a long day and all you want to do is lay down and go to sleep.

You were awoken by what sounded like small tapping noises on your wall. You kept your eyes closed just thinking it was the house settling. The sound stopped. You take a deep breath to relax and slowly fall into a sleep when the tapping noises return. You groan and try to ignore it. That's when you felt something on your exposed hand. Your eyes immediately open. You flick your hand to see a whole bunch of spider crawling on your bed. You scream and jump out the bed swatting spiders off of your body. You rush out the room and head to your cabinet to grab some spider repelant. You head back to your room and saw that they were all gone. Your heart stops and you drop the can as every single spider was now gone. You slowly walk into your room, your heart pounding as you try to search with only the moonlight to help you see if any eight legged crawlers of the night would come out of it's shadows. Nothing.

You rub your eyes and set the can on your dresser and slowly move back to your bed. You flip the sheets back and still nothing. You feel the tiny legs crawl over your body as you start to scratch your arm. And then your leg. And then your neck. They were all over you. You smack at your body as you try to get the feeling off of you but nothing came to your avail. You scratched until you bled as you twisted and turned where you stood trying to get everything off of you. You let out a yell of frustration and it just stops. You notice all of the damage you've done to your skin and you cringe as the broken skin and blood slowly breaking the surface. You head to your bathroom and search for some ointment. Once you find it, you get some cotton balls to disinfect your cuts before placing the ointment on them and rubbing it in. You come back to your room and noticed your curtains on your window was open. You close them and head back to bed. Tonight was definitly not a good night.

The next night you were terrified. You hated the night time. You were working late and had to walk home. At night was when all the freaks and things came out at night. Everything rejected during the day came out at night. Once you were free to go you sped your way to your house. Half way to your house you start to feel the wind pick up. You stuff your hands in your pockets as you start to hear whispers in the wind. They were not audible but you could tell it was not the wind. As you speed your walk practically jogging, you start to pass what seemed like figures in the alleyways. Then something from somewhere yells. The yell was so loud in your ear it caused your blood to curl as you glance behind you. There stood a tall figure with its knees bent the wrong way yet it still stood seven feet tall or so it seemed. You body physically cringes as the sound of bones crunching. You break into a run as a deep yet raspy voice booms come back here.

You don't look back as you sprint home, tears clouding your vision as you ran. You hear its stomps come closer and closer to you but that only pushed you to go faster. As you get to your door you feel the presence of a hand reaching out to you. Heart racing you feel a tight grip on your shirt as what feels like ice touches your back. You unlock your door and practically break your door down and slam it shut behind you. You hear a deep laugh before the sound of something walking away from your door. You heart races as sweat falls from your forehead. there was no sleep for you tonight. Not after that.
