Sweet Nights (V)

You were born in South Korea due to your mother being in the armed forces. You grew up with English as your first language but your mother made you learn korean while you were learning English. You were fluent and well spoken in both.

Going to school wasn't a problem since you knew what everyone was saying you could easily fire something back. You weren't the most popular person but you were known and had good friends.

Taehyung was quite the popular kid but he was extremely friendly. You had some classes with him so that allowed you both to talk and you loved speaking with him. Sometimes he would initiate it and other times you did. Your relationship was very relaxed and you could easily be yourselves with each other.

By the time you were in the last year of high school, a letter came back saying that your mother has been killed in battle. Your life was changed. Now only being 17, you had to figure out how you were going to survive and get a job to pay off everything. You had school the next day and you're were going to miss it but you knew you had to now more than ever keep your grades up. So you went.

You ignored everyone including Taehyung that day. You were quiet and very distant from class. After school you were saunter the hall to go outside when you feel a hand and you look over and see Taehyung and he pulls you to a hallway and he just looks at you. Before he could say anything you break down crying. He pulls you into a hug and just lets you cry. You were so broken and so lost. You told Taehyung everything and Taehyung offered to help but you instantly decline saying you didn't want to be a burden. You thanked him for being there for you and he walked you out and you walked home.

That night you were laying on the couch holding a stuffed animal your mom got you when you were a baby. You had been crying and listening to old voicemails your mom left either scolding you or just joking around. You hear a knock on your door but you ignore it.

"(Y/N)? Are you in there?" You hear Taehyung called and you sit up. Confused wondering how he figured out where you lived. You get up and walked to the door and opened it.

"Taehyung-ah...what are you doing here?" You asked and he holds up a basket of snacks and foods.

"I figured on a night like this, you shouldn't be alone." He smiles and you let him in and close the door behind him.

There that night he let you rant, he let you cry, he let you do anything you needed to help cope. That night you fell asleep with your head on his lap. He couldn't help but smile down at you as he watched you sleep. You finally looked at peace while you slept.

That was the last time you and Taehyung ever saw each other. He went into an idol group called BTS. You liked the group and you decided to support him even if he forgot about you.

~~6 Years later~~

2020

You were doing your job and delivering food to homes from your restaurant. You owned a well known restaurant and you were quite rich due to the sales but you still stuck with the traditional ways with certain things. You delivered lunch boxes to those who ordered some since one of your employees was on maternity leave.  You head to a large luxury apartment complex and buzz in. You were let up and you head to the apartment. And you knock on the door, holding all of the bags. The door swings open and you look and meet those same exact brown eyes that you last saw on the night that your mom died. You both stare at each other as if time stood still.

"U-uh your lunchboxes sir." You say and hold out the lunchboxes but he doesn't reach to get them, he just stares at you.

"Taehyungie whats taking so long?" You hear a voice call and you look over and see Jin coming over.

"These are the lunchboxes you ordered." You say, your chest tight.

"Thank you." Jin smiles politely and takes them. You how and you glance at Taehyung and it looked at if he was going to say something but you quickly walk off.

You don't know why but you were scared. You quickly walk and head down and get back to your car. Your heart was beating fast as your main goal was to just get out of there. Getting into your car you just felt tears fall as you think back on your relationship with Taehyung. The entire time you've known him, you've been in love with him. Just seeing him again sparked your feelings. You wipe your tears and head back to the restaurant to keep the business going.

Ever since then you'd get the same address requesting food but you'd send other employees. You knew how big BTS was so you'd smile when they'd come back saying how they met BTS, each time with Taehyung answering the door.

One day you were in your office when there was a knock at your door. You look up and call them in. One of your employees come in and bow before walking up to your desk.

"(Y/N)-nim, on my run a customer gave me a note and it's for you." He says and hands it to you.

'Please (Y/N)..come back.'

You inhale sharply as you read it and a tear slips. You clear your throat and nod, quickly dabbing at the year to not mess up your makeup. You thank the employee and he nods before leaving. You say in your seat and just let the silence be filled with your loud thoughts.

The next week the address came in and you take the request. Once the lunch boxes were made you head to the apartment. You were let in and head to the main apartment. Knocking on the door you take a step back and it was a bit loud before the door clicks and opens. There at the door was Taehyung. You hold out the boxes towards him. He doesn't take the lunch boxes but hugs you tightly instead. Stunned you stay in the position but slowly hug him back.

With no words being said, you both just hug before someone clears their throat. You let go quickly but Taehyung doesn't.

"Hyung, why are you hugging her?" You hear Jungkook asks but Taehyung doesn't answer him. He just continues to hug you like he needed it more than you did.

You feel Taehyung shake slightly and a small whimper was heard. He was now crying. Jungkook takes the lunch box from you and you hug Taehyung back. You rub his back soothingly as you just let him cry in your neck.

"Taehyung-ah, you need to come inside." You hear Hoseok say and once again let go of him.

Taehyung lingered a bit before slowly letting go. He bows to you saying he's sorry and you nod and wipe his tears with your thumbs. You bow to Hoseok apologizing and walk off.

You head back to the restaurant. Once in the safety of your office you let out a breath and decided to save the small note he wrote you. You stayed late that night to make sure everything was ready for tomorrow. On your way out you lock up the buildings and you turn around and see Taehyung. You accidentally drop your keys as you stare at him and he stares back at you.

"I missed you so much (Y/N)."
