Sweet little one-shot, firmly connected to Catch the flag, though it isn't set there.
Read it to understand.
Hope you'll enjoy 😄😊

Shade's pov:

"I swear I can swim faster than you." Kilorn smugly says.

I roll my eyes, giving him a rude gesture with my hand before settling back and floating on the smooth sea face.

"That comment should be about Calore, fish boy." We both laugh, earning a glare from my sister's boyfriend.

"For the one hundred and seventh time," he says. "I just don't care for swimming. It is not fair to compare me to a guy who basically spends his entire time in the water."

Kilorn smirks. "Are you admitting I'm better than you?" The prince rolls his eyes, before Mare's shout cuts off whatever he was about to retort.

"Go to hell, fish brain!"

I chuckle, getting a look of mock betrayal from Kilorn. I glance at her, opting to stand in the water while I do so. She and Farley both sit on a towel, starting the conversation again.

Farley's still dripping wet from our playful competition earlier. Mare, on the other hand, is completely dry, her white swimsuit at if glowing in the bright sunlight. The wind picks up, fanning her purple hair behind her.

I don't miss the look and the soft smile Cal gives her. But I set my jaw, trying to evoid ruining the mood by scolding him. They hold eachother's gaze, and I inhale deeply, already pissed. Farley catches my eye, and doesn't even try to contain her smug smirk.

There's no point in even trying to separate them. With a whole lot of kings, queens, courts, Princesses and Princes, and probably most of the damn world didn't succeed, I doubt I will.

Even if I'll try teleporting Cal the farthest I could manage, he'll most likely find his way back. Mare is so awfully stubborn, and so is he.

Cal narrows his eyes at me. "What are you thinking about?"

I shrug. "About teleporting you away from my sister, to spare us from the misery of you lusting glances."

Still unfittingly dry Mare scoffs. "As if you didn't try that already." I scowl in her direction. "How did it work for you last time?"

I remember what she talks about. When we played catch the flag. At least some of us actually played.

The conclusion, don't put Mare and Cal on separate teams.

As vengeance for keeping them apart during the game, they left in the middle. They went back home, abandoning their parts. At least, Calore did. I firmly believe Mare's part war distracting Cal, and giving her team advantage.

Needless to say, we lost to Mare's group. Kilorn, Farley, Elane and Mare remained smug as hell for the never-ending following week.

Shaking off the anger that comes whenever I think about that day, I reply "I still think you were sent to distract him." She rolls her eyes at me.

"My feelings for Cal are very real."

"Doesn't mean you didn't take advantage of them."

"For pleasure."

"You're my little sister, and that's disgusting."

"You have a baby, Shade."

I grumble, failing to think of a good response, and turn away, not before catching sight of her shit eating smirk.

I look at Kilorn, knowing he'll cope. Cal raises his eyebrows at our states, and I make sure Mare is busy chatting, then telling him about the little revenge I'm planning.

The silver shrugs. "This isn't going to work out well for you." He says.

Ignoring his warning, I jump to Mare. She can barely register what happened and in a blink, she's already in the water.

She gasps with surprise, kicking to keep her head above the surface. I laugh at her trying to tell remain aloft while Kilorn, Cal and I stand with the gentle waves grazing our shoulders, laughing out asses off.

She climbs on Cal's back, wrapping her arms around his neck and shoulders. Then spits on me, her aim precise. I wipe the saliva off my cheek, grimacing. She snorts at me.

Mare pouts, resting her head on Cal's shoulder. "What?" He asks, his chuckles finally giving away.

Her frown only deepens. "I can't reach the bottom!" She whines. We roar in laughter, Farley's cackles noticeable over our own.

She crinkles her nose, punching Cal, then leaning around his back to hit Kilorn. I teleport before my turn arrivers, and stick my tongue out at her scowling face from my place seated next to my girlfriend.

This is it! I was thinking about maybe go on with the AU series? I have a whole plot, with a nice twist...
