Would You Stop?!

Just a little MareCal one-shot based on a prompt from Thechildofchaos5. Sorry it's so old 😅

"Would you stop giving me the finger every time you see me?!" Cal said.

Mare shrugged, going back to her homework. Her goal wasn't to insult him. Just to annoy him a little bit.

Cal flopped down next to her on the couch. It was actually his home, but since his house was closer to the school, and much bigger, they would finish their homework there, (if they weren't distracted by each other), and go out afterwards.

It was an easier arrangement than Mare having to walk forty minutes back and forth. Cal could drive her on his bicycle, but she hated it. Cal enjoyed riding on it with her, but she refused to go on his death machine again unless every form of transportation is destroyed.

Luckily for Cal, he didn't receive a lot of homework today, and he managed to finish them in the class.

Despite his father and Elara calling Mare a "bad influence", Cal only worked harder, knowing the time he'll spend doing class work will take away from the time he'll get to spend with his girlfriend.

Cal wrapped his arms around her lean frame, pulling Mare closer. "But, really, why do you keep giving me the finger?" Cal asked. "Are you mad at me for something?"

"What day is it today?"

The question took Cal by surprise. He had zero idea on what it had to do with Mare giving him the middle finger every damn time he enters the room.

"Um, it's Thursday," Cal said.

"Oh, good," Mare said while returning the notebook into her bag. "Now I can stop."

"It was a dare from Farley," Mare laughed. "She dared me to flip you for a week. She thought it will probably annoy you."

Annoyed, Cal pushed Mare off the couch, into the floor. She got a mouthful of the rug. It was very soft, so the little fall didn't hurt at all. Still, it wasn't tasty in the slightest.

Disgusted, Mare begin executing her revenge. Who included much more kisses than she intended. But it wasn't like she was going to complain about it.

There's going to be some Shade-Mare sibling love coming!
